There appears to be more smart Democrats than Republicans but when it comes to elections, Democrats still screw up like (2000 and 2004 Presidential elections). Even though Republicans make big mistakes, the Democrats still cannot beat them !

The earthquake on 8th Oct 2005 at 1052 PST (+0500 GMT) took the lives of more than 55,000 people according to government figures. It was the worst natural disaster to hit the country since independence.

One year on, about 2000 people are still unknown, many are still shelterless and yet many others await financial aid. The tourism industry was badly effected and still needs full revival. Many remain jobless.

Aid agencies still continue to provide relief but the resources have reduced over the year.

What do you think of the efforts on part of the government, NGOs and aid agencies? Do you think you can make a change?

.or was all of the killing of civilians and destruction of infrastructure for nothing. Or maybe it wasn't really for nothing after all...since Israel needed a 'testing' site for her American-made and supplied weapons.

Just curious.

It seems to me that the media has again struck a blow to those people who are really exceptional by watering down yet another meaningful word in our language. Today, heroes are a dime a dozen, and the word is used so often that it's former definition has become lost to many. Thanks, once more to our media for taking one more admirable asset from our culture and beating it to dust. I'm sure all of our war heroes, those rare people who intentionally saved at great cost to themselves, and were not just innocent victims of random violence, will really stand out to the young kids of our country now. About as much as the "hero" who galliantly rescued the family of ducks on that dangerous road.

Hey well ya know the sayings. If ya play with fire then you'll get burned eventually. Once bitten twice shy. Well ya know Steve Irwin lived his life on the line between life, and death. He made big bucks off of picking on poor helpless animals, and exploiting them on TV. Maybe the whole getting killed by a sting ray was just payback for all those times he purposely teased animals for his own personal gain. So I want your opinions on this. Do you think that Steve Irwin got what he deserved. -Matt

Every time we turn around,Bush is looking for more and ,more money (now over 300 billion) to fund the Iraq and Afghanistan war. Yes she slips through billions to keep Israel well- funded and keeps Israel well stocked with trucks, tanks, etc. Yet we hear very little about the billions of dollars in funds and equipment that we send to Israel each year. It appears the Israeli army is better equipped than our own US troops....

A new report by the World Policy Institute examines how the United States provides billions of dollars of military aid to Israel each year and how their current arsenal is composed of U.S made equipment. Almost all of the weapons used by Israel are from the United States. There might be a couple French fighter planes that they’re using, but its F-16s made in Fort Worth, Texas; its Apache helicopters; its Sparrow and Sidewinder missiles; it’s all from the United States

You hear about pedophiles searching out little kids over the internet, but what about the young girls that are out there trying to attract people to come look at them stripping or worse. Is that not just as bad? I have a myspace page and I get invites to groups all the time to these web cam groups and most of the time it's young girls with provocative live webcams. I got an invite just a little while ago and I actually looked at her page and she had all kinds of personal information there for everybody to see. What would these girls parents think if they knew?
