The feeder holds about 8 oz of fluid. It hangs upside down with a rubber stopper and a plastic feeding tube stuck through the stopper. It seems to be affected by changes in temperature - the temps here range from 80-100 F in the summer.

Personally, I love and live in the Pacific Northwest. I think it's the best of all worlds. 2 hours to the coast or the mountains. No hurricanes, small earthquakes and the mountain hasn't had a large eruption since I was 5. Oh, and yes I love rain. It makes everything smell fresh and clean.

I am a painter mostly, but would be willing to learn a creative trade (e.g. tile making, art / window screens, and the like) to be able to work with architects - preferrably on large projects that in some way allow for the highlight or showcase of the less "architectural", more artistic pieces.
(FYI: I would prefer posting this in Arts & Humanities, as well as Home & Garden but Y!Q does not allow!)

My lease ends August 31st and I would like to vacate July 31st. I understand that I will probably loose my security deposit which is enough to cover that last months rent. I just wanted to make sure I wouldn't run into any other issues.

In elementary school in the late 1940s, we learned how lightning rods worked and how essential they were to protect houses from lightning fires. And sure enough, back then every house had a lightning rod sticking up from the roof. These days, however, I can't remember the last time I saw such a device. We've never had one on the two houses we've owned over the past 20 years.

Whatever happened to lightning rods, and are they necessary to divert lightning strikes away from buildings and into the ground?

Should I buy one? I'll have a big yard and a medium-sized house, but I hear they have SERIOUS health issues, and they bark, dig, and bite. Is that true (I really doubt it)? What are they like?
