Personally, I love and live in the Pacific Northwest. I think it's the best of all worlds. 2 hours to the coast or the mountains. No hurricanes, small earthquakes and the mountain hasn't had a large eruption since I was 5. Oh, and yes I love rain. It makes everything smell fresh and clean.

The best place in the world is here, Melbourne Australia. In an outer semi rural environment, where air is fresh and clean, native animals live in our garden, and we don't have to keep looking over our shoulders at lurking things.
2nd choice, a thatched cottage in rural England.

i would live in guam very quite and broken off from the hustle and go getters beaches are great and the people are friendly
