I have a garden flat and am overlooked by the flat above. It is a large garden. I am not that keen on those plastic type gazebos. Plus I don't want to fill my garden with shade.

My client bought a bananna tree about 2 weeks ago. His plant guy was supposed to come and take care of it...anyways, I found some soil, pot it in a big pot and water it every 2 days. Oh yeah, it is quite hot here, lots of sun.

the leaves are curled up, please give me advice to cure this tree.

In a previous question, I asked how to get rid of them. I got good answers telling me to wash the leaves with soapy water and rinse. I did that and cut some of the leaves off. The tomatoes still look big, green and healthy. But in the process of doing this, one of the "branches" with a couple good looking tomatoes broke. Not fully, but it is now halfway connected and is being supported by the cage. Is there anyway to save them from failure?

The fence at the very back of my yard is chain link and the people behind us are really dirty and from the street behind us you can see our back yard. Does anyone know of a climbing plant that will do well in Northern California and in mostly shade? I am looking for a vine that will look nice and grow fast. Thanks so much!

I have tried using pesticides, but they burn the leaves off the shrubs and then the wasps/hornets just came back instead. I can't even finish planting my shrubs because I am afraid of being attacked by them. They seem to be in every bush in our front yard!

We produce a lot of food leftovers in our daily waste.
I was wondering if it could be used to make compost.
I'm looking for an easy way, I have a small backyard and thinking of planting some flower beds. Would that be useful.
I'm totally a newbie in that area, and just looking for a useful way to recycle my leftovers instead of tossing it in the garbage.

I need to replace a few sprinkler heads I broke. I don't want to spend a lot, but I want something that will last and give good coverage. I also want something that's adjustable so I can make it work in various places. Any recommendations?

I have had it for 3 years atleast. I repot it every year and that's about the only time it blooms.
It is in a large pot, outdoors, in direct sun. It gets watered almost daily (rain). I live in Northern/Central FL. It has tons of leaves, no buds, no flowers. How can I get it to bloom?

It has been pretty dry here in the Chicago area, but I water daily. I think it might be some kind of a disease but I sprayed a disease/insect treatment about a week ago and it seems to be spreading from one pot to another now. Any advice?

I have canned just 4 little pints of green beans from the first of the garden produce. I used uniodized table salt (because of an allergy I have) and I am noticing some kind of milky white settlement in the bottom of the jar. The lids are sealed tight. Is the settlement and color normal or am I in for trouble. I don't want to waste time and money. Thanks for your help.

I loved my cottage garden in Maine, all the colors and textures! Here in Florida (zone 9b) I seem to only have "plants" as my daughter calls them, not "flowers". I miss my peonies, tulips, bearded irises, oriental poppies and lilies.....are there substitutes for these colorful plants I can grow down here?
