I use these at the beach so they do get wet and may be mildewy. I've tried soaking them in boiling water with bleach and soap, with no good results. The sandals are not leather---they're mostly synthetic/rubber, I think. Thanks!

After coming home from college my mom thought she'd be nice and do my laundry, however she accidently put two pairs of my favorite jeans in the dryer and they shrunk down about 2 sizes. NO I did not gain weight, they fit just fine before the dryer incident. Any ideas on how to stretch them back out?

I have a large wall mirror, that has a smokey film on it. I have tried windex as well as water and vinegar, but can't seem to remove the film. It's to big to take down. Any suggestions on how to clean it?

i bought a microsuede couch second hand and did not realise the smell of the smoke until I bought it into my smoke free home...I'm scared to give it a good scrub as it's microsuede and I don't want to wreck it? It's only six months old.

A couple of weeks ago there was a flood in my bedroom and my rug ( I have a bare floor except for the area rug) got wet, I took it outside to dry out but when I brought it back in it stunk REALLY bad. I put carpet freshener on it, I sprayed febreeze on it but it still smells. It it not an expensive rug but I like it and would prefer to not have to thow it away. Is there anything I can to to get rid of the smell?

All of my polyester shirts and pants have static cling, even after washing with fabric softener dryer sheets. Duofold shirts and hiking pants. But out on the trail where I'll be washing my clothes and drying them with hardly any soap and no softener, they will likely be horribly staticy. Is there anything I can do besides just getting them as dirty as possible?

Side by side refrigerator, door handles turn yellow at the point where most people open it, suppose it's from the dirt and grease on hands.

There is another cycle for "cold", so what's this "tap cold"? The instruction manual of the machine doesn't have anything, of course. It assumes I would know such a silly question!

I removed old tiles from my kitchen floor and underneath is a beautiful wood floor. However, there is some type of black adhesive that was used to adhere the original tiling. It almost looks like tar. The house is over 100 years old and I have no idea exactly what this black adhesive is. Please help:)
