First off, get yourself few bottles of boric acid just for roach control. Also, get some Raid roach spray, and a little bucket of spackle and quite possibly, some shrink wrap and weather stripping. Seal your place off like you want it to hold water, lol. I'm serious as a heart attack. Take all of your electrical outlets out and shrink wrap the hole you took them out of because the lil sneaks will come through the walls and out those holes. Pour boric acid in before you put them back. Take your raid and spray in the cracks crevices, nooks and crannies and pour boric acid in those places too. Patch up any holes like under your sink and around your pipes after you spray and put boric acid in 'em. It works like a dream. Once those little evil monsters even walk across that stuff, they take it back to the nest where their buddies feed off of it and they die. Also, any time you kill a roach, pick it up and throw it away because they come back for their dead to eat them. And make sure to weather strip around your doors and windows. I cannot stress that enough but boric acid is very effective and is much cheaper than bombs. Good luck!

moving away from the filthy neighbors. There were "creatures" when i bought my house. I just cleaned (vacuumed) then bombed the place. I ripped up most of the old carpet. And vacuumed again to get all the dead creatures. I am clean so I never had a problem. But again the dirty people no longer live here. Perhaps you can tell landlord? Cockroaches aren't a way to maintain good renters or attract good tenants. I don't know what type area you live in and if that's feasible. Good Luck!

**** Bleach and Water Mixture works the Best, but Only in the Kitchen or Bathrooms. (don't use it on carpeted areas)***

For living room and other room removal try these:

Hedge Apples (Osage Orange). Cut hedge apples in half
and place several in the basement, around in cabinets, or
under the house to repel roaches.

Flour, Cocoa Powder, and Borax*. Mix together 2
tablespoons flour, 4 tablespoons borax, and 1 tablespoon
cocoa. Set the mixture out in dishes. CAUTION: Borax is
toxic if eaten. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Borax* and Flour. Mix 1/2 cup borax and 1/4 cup flour
and fill a glass jar. Punch small holes in jar lid.
Sprinkle powder along baseboards and doorsills. Caution:
Borax is toxic if eaten. This recipe may not be for you
if there are young children or pets in the house.

Oatmeal, Flour, and Plaster of Paris. Mix equal pans
and set in dishes. Keep out of reach of children and pets.

Baking Soda and Powdered Sugar. Mix equal pans and
spread around infested area.

First, call the landlord, in most states the landlord is responsible to make a good faith effort to keep them under control. I have used roach powder successfully in the past, in conjunction with monthly professional visits in my rental units. Also, if you are on speaking terms with your neighbor, you could discreetly ask them to clean it up. I had a renter that collected soda cans for recycling, and stored them in bags behind his unit, drawing an enormous amount of ants. When I asked him to store them elsewhere, he told me that he never thought that was the cause of the problem. When He moved them (we got a large barrel to keep them in, behind the garage), the problem was gone. Sometimes people don't realize that they are causing a problem.
