I don't want to know about side effects or about how "The Pill" works.
What I really want is a comparison of the two.

Hysteroscopy 4 days ago very painful. Mid-way through procedure there was a power surge. Doctor had to start all over with that 91 second countdown portion (the part using electrical current (?). I thought my insides were being ripped out - maybe the local wore off too soon. I am one of those great patients that remains calm. This time around I actually started to cry and it took all I had not to scream out loud. The most painful ordeal I've have ever experienced in my life. After the procedure I went home and tried to get comfortable - that did not occur. My husband contacted the doctor's office to get some pain meds. Is this normal?

Four days later doing much better; however, very uncomfortable to sit for long periods of time, I feel interminate pulling sensations, bloating, some cramping.

No fever, no unusual discharge, little bleeding unless I become physically active, then it is like a light day during my cycle.

I thought I would be up and running around by now

Last week I went to the gynecologist for a regular exam and pap smear, bill was $536. This week I had to go for a follow up ultrasound (not pregnant) that took 5 minutes, and cost $330. Also was prescribed birth control, another $45 a month. So I'm in the hole almost $1000 and didn't even do anything! I do have insurance, but I still have to pay the deductible. I feel Iike I just poured my money down the drain. Why the heck is it so expensive??

Sorry if I seem to be overreacting, but I have been trying so hard to pay down credit card debt and build up my savings. And just two little appointments erased that, just for the doctor to tell me my hormones are out of whack and I need to go on bc. OK, but does that have to cost $1000!?! OK I'm done. Thanks for listening.

Hi all. Okay so something is def wrong w me!! I have pains in my lower abdomen (i guess where my uterus are is) which has been going on for sometime. and i dont know what is wrong. I know its not an std but i was thinking pelvic inflamitory? I have only been with one person (sexually) and he was only w me. This was over the summer. We did have unprotected sex a few times (i know stupid). I missed my period in sept (i never miss a period) but i took a few preg test and all came up negative. I got my period for a few days in oct. so im pretty sure (or hoping) im not pregnant. So what is wrong? ive also been having some back aches latley. any ideas? yes i am going to go to the doctors. but i would just like to know if anyone has anyideas. thankyou very much.
in a way the pain feels like getting a period that never comes.

Serious Question, so answer seriously.

Everybody talks about how great it feels when we orgasm and all, and I'm not saying I don't feel good after mastrubation or contact with my partner - I do get those pressure/tingle/blood rushing feelings - and feeling later on I cannot be touched anymore..

But i want to get that "release" relaxing feelings everyone talks about.

I feel i get it on the SMALL SCALE only that I need to be touched again later on, not too soon after,

but just an hour, a couple, or a few afterwards I need it all over again!!!

I do not have intercourse with my partner. But we do have sexual contact through rubbing our parts together, oral, etc. etc.

I'm not using birth control. We are not using condoms. I repeat, no intercourse and he doesn't enter me.

Should I still watch out? People say semen can find it's way through to cause pregnancy.

I know that's rare - but what do you think?

ok this is a messed up story. I got really drunk the other night and sort of had sex while on my period. I was so drunk, i cant remember all that happened. I think i sort of passed out, woke up next to him (we'd had sex before) and asked what happened. He said we didnt 'really' have sex because there was no condom, there was blood everywhere and he couldnt get hard (nice). I realized the tampon was no longer in me. I assumed i took it out...but now i'm paranoid! There was still blood coming out which told me, ok maybe it's not in there. It feels like i had sex down there, even if it just went in once. I am seeing him again so i'm asking more, just dont know if hell tell the truth. I have tried searching for the tampon, i dont feel anything but he's big and what if he just really pushed it up there??

Does anyone else absolutely hate jolivette? It's like if you forget to take it within an hour or two, you can forget about your underwear being clean? Does this happen to anyone else?
