I've had 7 kids, the last one at age 39. I am 43 now and in the last year I've had only 5 periods and I'm experiencing other symptoms as well only isnt 43 too young?

nothing to do with how many children you've had...you are "perimenopausal" and that is when you have the most symptoms...but you prolly won't stop having periods all together for a while.....you are the right age for perimenopause...it can last for several years....the average age of actual menopause (not having a period for a year) is 51.5 years.
