Just a hysterectomy (removal of the uterus) should not require HRT since hormones are released by the ovaries, which can remain after removal of the uterus. Apparently, since you have been on HRT, you had your ovaries removed also. Coming off the HRT may result in symptoms similar to those of menopause, since it is a chemically-induced menopause. That would include hot flashes, night sweats, mood swings, vaginal dryness, etc.

I am not sure what you should be experiencing, but I can tell you that since you had a hysterectomy you can be experiencing early menopause. If you are bleeding then you need to get to your gyno quickly because that is not normal.
I don't know if you had your ovaries removed or not or what your symptoms are.
If you have gas, abdominal pain, and indigestion and this is NEW and persistent for more than two weeks make an appointment and get checked out.
If you are sweating a lot, having hot flashes, irritable and really moody, night sweats, well then you may be hitting menopause or your hormones may be adjusting since you stopped HRT.
Best Wishes!

OH MY GOD Mike, again??? Yowee. Um still fighting cancer too, the thyroid has many functions and with any removal of even a part, those functions are compromised. IE: Your metabolism changes, among other things, though appetite might noticeably increase to help in producin the regulatory hormones, you could eat till you burst and not get what is needed to perform the natural functions. As it is a gland, similar in process to the Lymph glands which is where my Cancer is, it's usually regulated by meds, like stuff with iodine, calcium, and amino acids, in a form of a supplement. Often there is weight loss, changes in energy, TYROSINE from the Greek for cheese, is considered a non essential amino acid must have some reason to be included?

i think you'd pretty much have the same symptoms as those of those women undergoing menopause. based from 1st hand observation (actually im living with my mother who's on menopause) id say you would have hot flashes, irritability, possibly some back pain, night sweats etc. the most annoying of all this is the hot flashes and the mood swings. you just can't control it and there's really nothing anyone can do about it

If you didn't have your ovaries removed then you should be fine. Otherwise you will start menopause.
