i call it "a visit from mother nature" or "mother nature stopped by" or sometimes my friends and i joke about it being "the curse" because its an old term and we find it amusing.

A friend of mine calls it, "riding the cotton pony". I just say "I'm on it" or "on the rag".

nope i just say... im on my period... but of course not everyone has that confidence. so if i didnt... i'd call it Flo like my mom used to.
