Menopausal and perimenopausal women often times suffer from the list of 37.. or more.. health concerns that occur as their hormones are changing. Many doctors take a dim view of taking these women's complaints seriously, or even consider them at all; or they toss them a script for hormone replacement therapy. Has a study been done, or research in the works to look at the vast differences between a younger woman in her prime, versus an older complaining woman as far as what kind of care an older woman can expect to have as reasonable..

and they concluded that it could be because of irregular periods and want me to take birth control. My husband has had a vasectomy, so it is not necaessary for anything else. My question is, why would irregular periods be painful- and how will regulating my cycle fix this?? (Again, I have seen the Dr, I just am confused and curious about ideas so that the next time I talk to her, I have some pespective.... thanks!)

I got the shot less than two months ago and I have had continuous bleeding for over two weeks. Its very light but I can still see it on my underwear and I have no cramps. I was just wondering if it would ever stop and if there is anything I can do to make it go away. Such as taking Vitamins. I also drink very little water and way too much soda. Does that have anything to do with it?

I have been on ortha Novum 777 for a while and I have Missed 2 periods! I have taken 3 pregnacy test in this time frame and all have came back Negitive! So What other reason could it be to make me Skip 2 months? Could it be because of a Kidney Infection Or what? Thanks for your Help in advance!!!!

Hi this really isnt a question but i just wanted to share, i saw some people ask about breast reductions and i just had one in Nov 06 and let me tell you that was the best thing i have ever did in my life i was a 44 DDD and i had back pain and my head hurt all the time and shoulders hurt and i kept getting a rash and believe it or not i even got a yeast infection under my breast and i was always sore and summers were the worse. But anyway insurances will cover them if you have all the symptoms i have listed and it is a very pricey surgery mine was 11,000 and our insurance paid all of it except for 400.00 and i would rather pay the 400 than the 11,000, anyway if someone would like to have anymore info please email me and i would love to help, Oh and also yes it did hurt but the pain was worth it. And one more thing my family was there for me the whole way during this because they knew how unhappy i was. Thanks for listening and have a great day.

I'm 7 weeks and have been in and out of the ER 4 times already due to bleeding. I do not feel like the ER is doing everything they can to inform me and protect my baby. I'd just like a private doctor who especially deals with pregnancies similar to mine. Thanks so much!

about a month ago i had unprotected sex about a week before i was due on my period. the guy pulled out. my period came on the day it was due so i wasnt really worried, althought it was heavier than usual, and lasted a week rather than my usual 4 days which was slightly odd. now i am late for the next one by quite a few days, which has never happened before. ive always been really regular. im also having bad mood swings. what do u think?

got my period almost 3 weeks late...was quite heavy and lasted same number of days as usual...i thought i was preg and i had taken so many preg tests after the day i was sposed to get my period...were all negative..when my period came i was relieved...i dont have any symptoms or anything and havent gained any weight or anything like that.
am i alright and in the clear ?

i never had unprotected sex...and my partner never comes inside when condoms on.

I am 19 years old, female. I have had my period since i was 12 and it was normal. Recently (the past 4-5 months or so) It has been irregular, and now I haven't had it for about 2, going on 3 months. I have lost weight recently and been exercising. I have also been under a lot of stress. I know all this will affect my period, but all I want to know is how to get my period back. Please help!

I would like to lose weight, only a few pounds i dont want to do anything to drastic (i would like a flat stomach) i want to do this for myself to make me feel happier. i eat generally quite healthy and i try to excersice regulary
Any tips on excersing to lose weight?

it is going on 6 months and I still haven't had my period. I've gone to the doctors and they haven't figured out what's wrong with me. The fact that I don't know whats going on scares me. I know I'm not pregnant because I've never had sex. I eat healthy, I'm in nutrition and foods, so I know all bout healthy eating, and I'm not anorexic or bulimic. im 15 and 1/2 now and i got my period whn i was 13 and 1/2. my period schedule has been really off for example once i didnt get for like 3 months and it normally lasts a week. another time i didnt get it for 2 months and it lasted for a month with light flow. After that i got it after 2 months and it lasted like 2 weeks with a light flow. and again now its been 45 dayz so far. and this time for sum reason my acne is not clearing up and its slightly worse than ever before. normaly my face is pretty clear of acne. Can anyone tell me wats wrong? it it hormomal imbalance or due to stress from school??
