I just found out earlier tonight that my mom was diagnosed today with metastatic breast cancer to the hip. Her original breast cancer was diagnosed 1999. She had radiation, chemotherapy and surgery. In 2005, she was diagnosed with metastatic breast cancer to the lungs. Near the end of her chemo, she contracted a blood infection which almost killed her. She had to stop treatments because the antibiotic she was on 24/7 through an IV was so strong she couldn't take her chemo at the same time, which in turn let more cancer spread in her lung. Since her first bout with lung cancer (minus the 3 months she was taken off for antibiotics) she has been on weekly chemo and herceptin IV drip once a week. I don't really know what I am asking here, but I'm just looking for some answers anyone has for anything she's been though. If she's been getting treatments for this long, and herceptin, which is a medicine to pretty much keep you in remission, why is it still spreading?

I'm 15 and I've started my period already but I haven't had it in quite a while, about 4 months. A few weeks ago my nipples started to feel sore while I was showering. Every time i touch them they're sore, but the breasts aren't. I'm already a 32C; does this mean my breasts are continuing to grow bigger?Does this have something to do with hormonal fluctuations?

I had just started taking "ortho tri cyclen lo" birth control and I got to the sugar pills and I got my period and the blood was a dark red almost black color. I was worried because early when I took my pill, I had a accident happen with a condom breaking and I was just starting and on my 5th pill ( you're suppose to wait 10 days before having sex to make the pill effective) and so I took the morning after pill. Now I was just wondering if the colored blood is bad?

that it feels fine. I used to wear a 36d, before that I was in a 38c. The 38c the cups felt big and the straps were flimsy. Then the 36 felt more snug and comfortable. Now I guess my waist went down and I'm a 34d but it feels pretty tight and uncomfortable. Is it just that I hate wearing bras or is it too tight? Maybe I should go back with the 36d. But the cups seem a tad bigger and the straps flimsy. This size seems really snug. But it's annoying. And the other felt more comfortable. I wish I knew what to do. I'm definitely a D cup.

So I've been with my gf (age 25) for over a year now. We used to have sex at least 2-3 times a week. However, the last time we had sex was last early November. At first, I just thought that we kind of stopped having sex because we both were really busy and stressed out. For her, she is attmepting to earn two degrees, applying to pharmacy school, part-time managing a family owned business and two jobs. For me, I'm in the process of working on two degrees and applying to medical school. But as reality hit me, through all of that busy schedule we have, we also have some free time as well in which we just stay home and lounge around (aside from going out for the night). well, birth control pills are basically hormones right? So, I have this problem of BAD mood swings and depression as PMS and I just cry, mainly at night for 20-60 minutes for 4-5 nights straight. I think this isn't normal, but even if it is, i don't want to have to deal with it anymore. Are birth control pills a possible remedy?

This is the first month that I'm taking birth control. I started taking it the day I finished my period and I just took my 4th inactive pill today. I'm still getting use to how everythings suppose to work and I was trying to figure out when I'm suppose to get my period?

I've been taking it regularily, havn't missed any days, and havn't been taking anything else to make it less effective. Once this month we ended up using the pull out method, probally about a week ago. But I've started to get a little bit of cramps and my usually mood swings already. When shoould I be expecting it?

ive been reading alot of Q&A about the mirena IUD. i had mine inserted 2 days ago..i had alot of painful cramping during and after insertion. today- i have normal period type cramps ( this is day 3 of my period) im reading alot about it coming out of place and people getting pregnant... im starting to question my decision to get the IUD. my gyno said i have an enlarged uterus...so i pray that it doesnt interfear with the "security" of my IUD... just looking for some opinions on this...oh yeah, my period has been alot lighter than normal YAY
