You should not need to use them more often than OCCASIONALLY. This is defined as not more than once or maybe twice a month.

If you've got a perpetual case of constipation, you should see your doctor and maybe a dietitian to find ways to incorporate more natural fiber sources into your diet.

Using laxatives should be avoided as much as possible. When you do, stay away from chemical types. Use something that is fiber. Metamucil or the copycats should do fine.

Not good to use them execesively, especially for weight loss reasons. My really good friend, her sister is addictive to laxatives and can't be with out them because of her eating disorder. Its not good. Use them with caution, and only when absolutely necessary.

If you are asking this question, it sounds like you may already think you are dependent. Ask for help. If you are using these for weight loss, you could cause serious damage to your internal organs or die.

Its really not good to take them frequently because it can cause dehydration. Which is a result of losing electrolytes in your body. Drink plenty of water when you do use them. Hope i helped.

I suggest you read the label. Most pharmaceutical product will tell you how long you should use it before seeing your doctor.
