Women's Health - February 2007

Hi everyone. I have a quick question. I had surgery February 22nd and I had been taking an antibiotic for infection and whatnot afterwards. The last time I took a birth control was the night before my surgery. It's already an exact week since I had taken a pill and I plan on starting them again tonight. How long does it usually take to get back into your system again? Just curious. Thanks!!

If i was pregnant I would have gotten pregnant in the begining of June which would make me like due sometime soon. I really do not want any rude answers about this i am jsut looking for help. I am 18 and m ex bf left me. I can't turn to my parents.I have thought i was pregnant and have taken HPT and they turned out negative. I have been to a walk in clinic and they told me i wasn't but al they did was give me another pregnancy test. Not even a blood test. I called the women's clinic and told them i tought i was pregnant and they asked how many test have i taken and i told them 3 and they were like no you are not, and that was the end of it.Okay so this it what gets me.. i have not had my period, and i have had sore breast, bumbs on my breast. I have gotten bigger, and my stomach is very hard .. it feels like a ballon on my ribs.I can feel something movin in me. I DON'T know if it is me being pregnant or somethng else.. what doctor do i call. and i am getting pains sometimes ..help!

I dont know if I should put heat or ice on my throat to help it. I have been drinking sprite all day and i ate some ice cream. I think I have tonsillitis but im not sure. It hurts to swallow, laugh, burp, cough, just about anything that does something to your throat. I really need some advice/help..something to help me out until i go to the doctor tomorrow. Please and Thank you.

I take Ortho Tricyclin Low, I take it at night but sometimes I don't go to bed until after midnight or 1am and then that night I might take it at 10 or 11. Does it matter if I take it one night at 12am then at like 10pm? I never miss pills though, ever. Could that cause pregnancy?

Last night I had unprotected sex, no birth control and no condom. I'm sixteen. I know it was very dumb of me and that it was a horrible mistake so please don't critize or anything, just give me your opinion. He pulled out right before he came and I'm pretty sure that he pulled out in time. I'm debating on whether I really even need to worry about the morning after pill. I would have to go to planned parenthood to get it and they have been booked everytime I call. Someone also told me that you get pretty sick with the pill so it wouldn't be something that would be easy to hide from my parents. Do I really even need to be worried? Please write in if you've been in this situation, I'd feel a lot better!

Ok I hope this isnt to wierd but I dont have allot of sex experience but my current boyfriend is very big and I wonder if we ever break up how do smaller boys feel? is it still good or maybe even better? because I know that a big fat one feels good but hurts when its pushed to hard sometimes.

o0o kay i messed with my BC thinking i could skipp my period if i skipped my placebo's well i didn't i spotted for almost an entire month... and well the time when my period would normally start has come and i bleed semi heavy for one day then completely quit... is this normal... anyone else had a similar experiance??? o0o and BTW when i skipped my placebo's i started on another pack of my pills... jst so thats cleared up

I'll be 22 this year, I just don't want to go because I feel it will be a VERY uncomfortable situation for me. Besides being nervous/scared, I feel fine, so I guess I really just don't see a point in it all? ok..for shaving i use Veet and it works great on my legs...but not my armpits. i wont try shaving because i'm afraid of cutting myself, as sad as that is, even with a no-cut razor. i bought something to try waxing them with but it says that if you don't pull it off fast then skin can come with it and i can't even pull band-aids off fast let alone that. i tried using a magic touch razor thing for awhile but it doesn't get real close, even if i try putting shaving gel on first it still doesnt.

so my question is...do you know any other way i could shave my armpits? or any way to make the veet work on them of the magic touch shave closer? or anything much else at all (besides telling me to grow up) would be much appreciated, esp with softball season coming up and us having sleeveless shirts.

My period started in November, and I got an awfully large ammount of blood that first month, which I've heard is abnormal. And then in December, I hardly had anything at all, and I'm not even sure whether it would be considered blood. And then in January, I MISSED MY PERIOD COMPLETELY. I'm only 11, I obviously have not had any sexual activity, but for some reason I don't think I'm getting my period anymore. It's already the end of February, so I thinked I missed this month too. My period usually comes around the end of each month, so WHY AM I NOT GETTING IT? Is something wrong with me? Am I supposed to tell someone about this, or is it not a big deal? Is this normal?
