My daughter is 17, almost 18 years old and has not started having her period yet. An ultrasound showed that all the reproductive organs are there where they should be. The doctor wants to do a blood test to check the hormone levels, but my daughter refuses that idea. What could be causing the delay, and what should we do about the refusal to have a blood test? My daughter got a mild sedative on the day she was supposed to have blood taken , but that didn't help at all.

I woke up this morning to see that I look ROUGH.. just really unhappy.
I have taken care to go for something to pamper myself each week to keep going - manicure, facials, etc. However, my skin is grey, am bloated from weight gain from comfort eating, even my hair has been dropping more than usual. Any suggestions as to what to do so I can feel better and look toward a new year?

My 13 year old daughter says her legs hurt, both of them. I remember when my niece was that age her mom took her to the doctor and said they were just growing pains. Could this be what my daughter is experiencing now? We do have a doctor appt. next week, but just curious for now.

For the past like 2 months my period has only lasted a day, Verry light no cramps. And ive always had 5 day periods and bad cramps, So this is unusual for me. And im gaining weight. Ive taken two pregnancy tests, Both were negative so what do you think???

My friends who have just started having sex have told me that their breasts have increased in size - not dramatically, but perhaps a cup size bigger. Why is this? I have heard rumors that intercourse actually helps women become more "womanly," if you will, but these aren't actual facts. Does anyone have any evidence for why this phenomenon occurs? (It has happened to 3 girls that I know. And all of them are in their 20s, so they're past puberty)

I have experience dizziness and vertigo for months. I have had every test done. And everything is normal. I hate this feeling so bad, I get frustrated. But I have come to the conclusion that if the tests come back normal, the only thing left is the mind. I have to control what is being done to this hell that i go through. We just have to deal with it the best way we know how. I know its scary but we are not alone.

I was 16 yrs old and I didn't bleed or "tight". It was my honesty 1st but he didn't believe me. He told me I was supposed to bleed and that my vigina was supposed to be tight. Plus he insisted that I was supposed to scream like crazy. Would you females please tell me what HAPPENED on your 1st. I want to print all of your answers out and throw it at his face!

OK, stop laughing. This is serious. My GF (we've been dating for about 2 months) has an issue with odor in her privates. It's not (sorry for the crudeness) the well quoted "rotten fish" smell, it's more of a body odor and urine smell amoung others. She doesn't trim her pubic hair that close and I've also noticed she doesn't wipe after she urinates and also does not "clean up" after we've had sex like every other GF I've ever had did.
This is starting to really bother me. Is there ANY way I can ask her to do something about it without coming off like a jerk?

okay, so i am 22 years old and 5 foot 6 inches tall and weigh 117.6 lbs which is very little if you do the math with my age taken in consideration and such.now all of a sudden i am under so much stress and i do not want my bf or parents or friends to feel sory for me because i can handle all the finals and such. but i am at a breaking point and at a point of where i can barely sleep, barely have time to eat 2 meals a day if i am lucky and i am munching on lots of fruit and some reeces pieces-just like 5 for today and none for last week. i am a health freak yet when i am stressed out i either gain or lose weight. now i i feel like i am 120 or something -lbs that is-and like i do not have rhe confidence that i had nor like my body anymore and feel that everyone can tell if i gained 3-5 lbs which is crazy because people tell me that i should eat more because i am so skinny for my age and height and since my epilepsy medication also works to make me lose weight.why do i feel so conscious?
