Nope. It's the human growth hormone your baby is pumping out in development that stimulates the growth of it all. Your bones would grow if you had growth plates left- but you don't so you can't get any taller. The only things left to grow are your hair and nails, and they do. When the baby is born, the hair you would have normally lost will shed, and your nails will slow down again. The vitamins you are taking might give you a bit more to build it all with, but the rate is driven by the hormone.

Maybe it's the vitamins since people tend to not eat as healthy as they should but I always thought it was just being pregnant that made my hair and nails so awesome.....because they sure didn't stay that way after the baby!!!!

i think it's not from the prenatal pills. it from our hormones. the hormones released when we are pregnant causes our hair to grow faster and even fall off especially after giving birth.
