Its call the glycemic index. Understanding that will help you. Plus, you can buy urine dip sticks from a pharmacy to see if the color changes. Based on the depth of the color on the strip will tell you how much fat you had to break down today in order for the glucose to be released back into your body for usage. This is called ketosis.
