Hey I'm at work right now... and i just got my period... I hardly ever get cramps but today seems to be my lucky day, I'm in pain I cant even sit straight!! but i cant call it a day and just leave. Any suggestions?
please help! :(

Does anyone out there know that it often takes 6 months or more to get a pap smear result back in Ireland? In fact they seem to find it acceptable to wait 3 to 4 months! If you think this is as appalling as I do please contact Mary Harney's office and complain, asking that she immediately hire outside, trained professionals to do the job until they have enough trained professionals here!

I have been having lower abdominal pain on and off with some spotting for a few weeks now, my doctor has me scheduled for an ultrasound, but they can't get me in until next Wed (she thinks I may have an ovarian cyst) is there any type of blood work or other testing I should request in the mean time, to find out what's wrong, or is an ultrasound the only way? I am feeling a little lost here...Thanks

This is a 3rd pregnancy. Under quite a bit of stress early on with hardly any weight gain. I park a distance away from my office and take the stairs instead of the elevator. No fast food. I cook fairly healthy for myself, my husband , and our 18mth old daughter. Drink Diet Rite instead of other sodas. Blood sugar levels are perfect. Suggestions for how to stay on track for the remainder of the pregnancy?

I am 23/female. It hurts off/on through out the day. I went to the doctor one week ago and she said to take Cipro for two weeks. Call her back after two weeks to let her know if it's better. I filled the rx for Cipro, but after reading the side effects and reading about Cipro online I decided not to use it. I called the doctor and got the nurse and I asked for another antibiotic, but they said Cipro is the only medicine and they don't have an alternative (find that hard to believe). Well, it has been one week and I'm still in pain. It hurts sometimes when I sit or walk. No problems urinating or with BM. Nothing out of the ordinary, just pain. I want to call the doc, but she will probably say wait another week. When I first saw her she said I probably have diverticulosis, but if after two weeks and still pain, she will look into it further (she mentioned it could be something like an ovarian cyst). Ugh, i'm just annoyed they aren't doing anything.

I got it after I gave birth to my daughter. I had a bad pregnancy and a hard 56 hr labor with a lot of complications, this being one of the after effects. I started gaining weight and the doctor did all kinds of test on me before finding out it was hypothyroid disease. Everytime I try to take my synthroid I end up stopping because it makes me bleed..like a period ...all the time and a lot. My doctor said its because the med is trying to regulate through my body and it can take up to 6 weeks. Ive never taken it that long thoug because I dont want the constant bleeding..and I am trying to conceive...cant do that with all the bleeding. Thyroid disease effects your metabolism and hormones. Does this happen to anyone else on thryroid medications? Im 25 if that helps anyone. Also I have irregular periods due to ovarian cysts and just getting off the depo shot after 6 years. When I dont take my med I dont have regular periods but as soon as I take it I bleed within 2 days. Any thoughts?

The skin of my legs is getting pale because of not getting enough sunshine. I am wearing tights during work from 8am until 6pm when I arrive home. I take it off for shower for only 15-20 minutes at home and then have to wear stockings from the evening until the next morning. In the morning, I change into tights for work again. On Saturday and Sunday, I wear the stockings 24/7 as well.
There doesn’t seem to have any health trouble with my legs but I just feel the paleness of my legs look a little weird whenever I take the tights off for shower.
I told my beau about it but he insisted that it is not an excuse for not wearing the tights or stockings 24/7. He is jealous of people staring at my bare legs and feet, so I am willing to wear the tights and stockings 24/7, is there any way to get the paleness out of my legs without removing the tights or stockings?

I was wondering if anyone has lost large amounts of hair a few months after an MRI. I had one done a few months back and have been losing huge amounts of hair but I'm not sure if this could be it and want to know if anyone has had this happen? I'm concerned because I've always been known to lose some hair easily, but I've never lost so much in such a short time. I've come to be afraid to wash my hair because so much just comes off. Any info would help.

I'm a 22 year old woman and I was diagnosed a year ago with endometriosis. I have severe pain before and during my periods, sex is sometimes intollerable, and going to the bathroom hurts as well. I know that surgeries can be done to help with these symptoms, but my sister in law went through the same surgery and now that she and my brother are trying to concieve they're finding it VERY difficult. My boyfriend of 3 years and I are planning on getting married and we both want children very much and my sister in law said, "Do it soon because you won't be able to later!" But I know we're not ready for kids at this moment! Please, if anyone has been in this situation, lend some advice! Thanks in advance!

Mom always said that things would go downhill from there.I turned 30 in January and in April I started having problems. They range from wrinkles that showed up over night to female problems like I have never had before to gall stones. i am in the process of being tested for a variety of things. I just feel like I dont know my body anymore. I heard that 40 is the new 30. Is there hope? Is there a website that focuses on 30 somethings.I cant believe I just said that!!!!!! I am on the pill, that doesn't work....

the reason why I want to lower my sex drive is because, I'm sick and tired of feeling like I have to beg for it out of my husband every 3 or 4 days, He never wants to make love to me, and I want to be on his side of the fence if you know what I mean....
