I have an urine infection and I am using antibiotics (SULFAMETHOXAZOLE WITH TRIMETHOPRIM) for three days now my period is about 5 days late (I am not sure about pregnancy ) I called my doctor and ask her if I am pregnant I should continue to taking antibiotcs and she says I have to use them. Are they harmful for the baby that may I have ?
I think maybe the infection is cause of my period missing. What do you know about that?

okay i have been married for 2 years been with him for 3, and we had sex before we were married......at first i would bleed then it went away..im not anywhere near my periods when this is happening, so now its been happening alot more..i thought it had something to do with pill or if we hadnt had sex for a few days thats the reason. Dont tell me go to a dr cuz i have an appointment next month im just asking if this is common, we never have like rough sex or anything to cause me to bleed....im not trying to be gross either...anyways if anyone has something like this please let me know.

if i do find out that i am not preg i am going to go to my drs apt. on the 18th and bc but i was on bc for a while last year and yr before to regulate my period. and alotta them caused me to gain wait and other things. does ne one know a good one to try this time?

I asked a question before asking how do i know of im def preg, well i didnt elaborate very well. For the past couple months ive been living with my bf and weve been together now for over 3 months. The scenario im in is. My breasts have been really sensitive lately and ive been eating a lot. more then usual and i get cravings for things i usually eat. but i have no problem now eating a whole store bought pizza. by myself. we have had protected and unprotected be he has never came in me, he is very cautious about that. We have a great rellationship.But ivebeen having horrible pains in my right breast and it hurts to wear a bra sometimes. I usually sleep all the time ne ways, but recently i get tired really easy. im scared for the outcome and so is he. We are not ready to have a child. I dont know how to handle this. But i am completly againt abortion and him and i are talking over this very well. what else can i do?

I was recently put on Effexor (starting at 37.5 and will work up to 75 mg) for mood swings due to paramenopause. Now I feel full of energy - almost as if I am taking a stimulant. Is this normal? How long will this last?

i had the marina iud put in 8 months ago. i got it to help with some health problems. i did okay with it the first couple of months, but then i started having a period about every two weeks, sweeling of the hands and feet, headaches, sore breasts, severe acne, and bad mood swings. i talked to my gyn about this and she said this was normal and would go away after my body adjusted to it. to help me along with it she also put me on birth controll pills along with the iud. i don't think any of this is normal, but i'm no dr. any suggestions would help. i also have two children.

I was told that I would maybe bleed or have slight discharge for a few days maybe. Is sex safe? I have not had intercourse but I did let my boyfriend use his hands last night and I kinda bled like crazy. I am so embarrassed to call and tell a doctor this! Does anyone know anything?

I am on the birth control pill and have been for over a month. I've just started on my 2nd pack and am on my 5th white pill. Neither me or my fiance have STDs and I would like to start having sex without a condom. Is the birth control pill completely safe all on its own?

I'm curious to know what doctors find in an ultrasound that would indicate spina bifida. I know it's something to do with a spinal column that doesn't close all the way. Does it every appear on the ultrasound like there is a hole in the meninges or fluid surrounding the brain?

im having my second colpopscopy soon, and its the 2nd one in 5 months. the doctors keep saying its nothing to worry about, just a mild anomoly, but im really nervous. do they say that even if your gonna definately have cancer just to try and make you not nervous? im only 24, i dont want cervical cancer. i like my cervix/uterus/etc. has anyone else out there had the same problem? how are you now? did you get cancer?
