Try keeping sour candies handy. There are some low calorie ones like the Altoids fruit flavored drops or Lemon Heads. Something about the sour coating puts salivary glands into over drive.

I would go to the doctor because there is a defenciency of some kind or a certain medication you are taking could be causing you to dry out.

take regular sips of water. Watch your salt intake too, especially from snack or bought foods. These often have huge quantities of salt that leave me with a dry mouth for hours.
