Cod liver oil was used as a source of vitamens A and D before a person could get it in a tablet or a capsule. It smells and tastes awful. Rubbish

I dont' use it for my hair though--I take it as a nutritional supplement to get my daily recommended amount of vitamins A & D. If you want something to help your hair and finger nails, try biotin. I've taken that too, and it really does work. :)
