it's been 2 weeks and she is feeling very good. we want to know when can she can lift weights, do spin classes, aerobics, abs. Is there a danger to her womb?

she should not do anything that strains her abdomen, like lifting anything over 10 pounds, and she should probably avoid crunches for awhile.

she should start with light cardio (walking, low-impact aerobics), and advance slowly. pregnancy and childbirth are HUGE physiological events - her OB can give her the best advice about getting back into exercising!

is she breastfeeding? this is the best post-pregnancy weight-loss plan, as far as i'm concerned! 500 calories a day burned just by feeding baby!

6 weeks. After her follow up visit. After giving birth I jumped off the table (literally) and I felt fine. I was told not to push the body so soon with strenuous exercise. She can go walking.

6 weeks is the norm her doc will release her to resume normal activity but to be sure when she returns for her check up at 6 weeks let the doc know what it is she is wanting to do and he will advise you congrats on the baby
