Are they harmful for the baby that may I have ?
I think maybe the infection is cause of my period missing. What do you know about that?

Were you taking BC pills before you got your antibiotics? It is clearly noted that antibiotics do weaken the contraceptive advantage of the pill....in which case you might be pregnant because you were not properly protected (and should have been using a back-up method while on the antibiotics).

However, if you weren't using any contraception, then no, the antibiotic probably doesn't have anything at all to do with your missing period. Have you taken an OTC pregnancy test? You should do that as soon as possible. Neither a UTI nor the antibiotics will affect the test's outcome.

BTW, no antibiotics won't harm the fetus. I was on them (usually Amoxacillin) almost constantly for ear infections during my pregnancy. You DO need to take the meds if you want your UTI to go away. If you don't complete the Rx, you have a chance of making the infection worse and harder to treat (as it will become resistant to to the antibiotics if you don't kill off all the bacteria by finishing the prescription).

Keep taking the antibiotic. The infection would be a lot worse on your baby. The medication you are taking is a fairly safe broad band antibiotic that is often given to infants and newborns. The antibiotics won't cause you to miss your period but an infection could

The antibiotics wont make you miss your period. Stress and or pregnant will make you miss your period. If you are only a few weeks pregnant the antibiotics wont harm anything.
