i had the marina iud put in 8 months ago. i got it to help with some health problems. i did okay with it the first couple of months, but then i started having a period about every two weeks, sweeling of the hands and feet, headaches, sore breasts, severe acne, and bad mood swings. i talked to my gyn about this and she said this was normal and would go away after my body adjusted to it. to help me along with it she also put me on birth controll pills along with the iud. i don't think any of this is normal, but i'm no dr. any suggestions would help. i also have two children.

No, it is not normal after 8 months.IUD can colonise bacteria and can cause localised infection of the uterus which can spread to pelvis causing pelvic inflammatory disease.some people cannot tolerate IUDs.best thing is to remove iud and go on pills or condoms.using both is just ignorance on the part of ur doctor and risky on ur part.take care

I'm having a similar experience with the Mirena (wt gain, mood swings, fatigue, irregular bleeding) and my doctor also suggested BCP to help balance the hormone changes, but I'm waiting for my body to try to balance itself before I start adding more hormones. I'm taking a multivitamin everyday and forcing myself to stay active to keep my energy level up. In short...it's normal to have the symptoms you have and you should cope with it in the way you feel is appropriate whether it's taking the pills or trying to ride it out. Good Luck!

i in my view like it....I fairly have tried diverse techniques and in basic terms paranoid of all of them. This one to boot has effects on condition that your significant different is with somebody else although. For my significant different he loves it to boot he says its a extra appropriate sensation w-out a condom. if you're purely going to be with one sex significant different, i quite evaluate is a techniques yet the most acceptable one. it fairly relies upon on the adverse consequences it will be imparting you with. i'm positive your well-known practitioner defined it to you before putting it and signing a consent. that's critical to that you recognize the hazards it has once you've sex with someone to boot your established significant different. I fairly have tried the patch and in basic terms does no longer provide up bleeding so there is going that what do i want it for. pills i recognize i'd ignore taking them. Condom heavily isn't an similar sensation. do not recognize attempt some thing else and if u don't like it bypass again to the IUD.....yet regardless continuously be careful on who you sleep with you're sparkling yet they don't look. solid success!!!
