I'm wondering a doctor gives you a form to get a blood test done on thyroid problem, do those people who tests others blood also check for other diseases as well? like aids or hiv or other sorts of things? i meant do those testers check for them at the same time even though the doctor only specified that only thyroid problem is needed to be tested. And the reported sent to the doctor would indicate everything the testers found out?

For the past few days, I get a quick sharp pain after urinating. I've also felt as though I still have to urinate even after just urinating. These symptoms come and go though--one day I'll feel this way and the next I won't. Or it'll last for a few hours and go away--then come back later. Just last night I started feeling tender in my lower stomach area and (I know this sounds WEIRD) I can't stop laughing. It's sort of like when you hit your funny bone--that's what it feels like when I touch my lower stomach (again, not all the time). It sort of feels like I'm feeling something else--like my lower stomach isn't a part of me or something (you know how it feels when the dentist numbs your gums and you touch your cheek? The way your face feels like it's not a part of you?). When I say it doesn't feel like it's a part of me, I meant in a body sense---I can actually feel it with my hand. Does that make sense? I can feel that something is wrong b/c my body is telling me that way.

I had a blister on the left area of my pubic area. It hurt after i went to the bathrrom and i noticed a blood stain on my shorts. It wasn't my period! it was just a pimple looking thing.
was it a pimple???

Oka I am a total freak and I think I have every diease. I'm 16 is there any possiblilty I have breast cancer? The are around my nipples is weird and I rarely have periods. Should I tell my doc?

My little sister has pokies. She's 11. I have definately noticed that she has been having tons of discharge (i have to do the laundry every wednesday). I have noticed that she neds to start wearing a bra, and become aware that her period is coming closer each second.

I have tried telling her this, but she wont listen to me. i don't want to tell my mom because i want her to notice and be the mother, not me.

What should I do?

I've had heavy periods for about
2 1/2 years, and now i'm anemic, and taking iron pills.

it takes me less than an hour to get through a extra super tampon. It's only heavy the first two days, then it's next to nothing the fourth and fifth day.

I tried bc pills, but had a bad reaction to it, and now I don't want to do hormones anymore.

I've read about the non-hormone IUDs. What are the pros and dangers of them? Will it help my heavy periods?

I am believer in the benefits of breastfeeding, but my wife wants to restrict the length and frequency of breastfeedings.

There is established medical agreement that breastfeeding leads to a higher IQ, fewer ear infections, fewer allergies and even saves you money.

I would prefer to have the support of my wife in this matter. This is one of the most important factors in a marriage and helps make breastfeeding more enjoyable for everyone.

But she says that 5 times a day for half an hour is too often and too much and that she feels very tired and uncomfortable.

Does she have the right to cut down on how much of her milk I can drink?

I read somewhere that it was ok to drink moderately while breastfeeding just as long as you drink immediately after the feeding so that when the next feeding comes around the alcohol content will be lowered and not so much will pass to baby. is this true?

I should prob know this at my age (21) but does worrying about not getting your period delay it even more? I usually follow about a 35 days cycle but am a few days late, like 4 days and I constantly worrying about it. I wouldn't have thought I could be pregnant 'cause I haven't had sex since about a week before my last period.
