No. That is normal. I was about 14 1/2.
Getting the first period anytime before the age of 16 is considered biologically normal. If a girl reaches 16 and still hasn't had a period, then its advisable to see a doctor.
Also, a girl's natural body type has an effect on when puberty/periods start. Shorter, 'chubbier' girls tend to start menstruating sooner than taller, thinner girls.

No, I wouldn't worry about yet, I started when I was 14 also. There's lots of girls who get there periods at age 16 or 17, too. In a few years, if nothing has happened, then you should start to worry.

It is not weird at all, especially if the girl is very active in sports...when i was in high school, my friend didn't get hers until she was 17.

There's no set time to get your period. i got mine when i was 10 1/2 but if you don't get yours by age 17, ask your doc.

not at all, some people get it at 11 some at 16...it's all normal. if you're really concerned ask your dr next time you go. chances are everything's fine
