it's been 5 days since my last... major trip to the toilet.. I've eaten an extremely healthy and high fiber diet, (oatmeal for breakfast, an entire mango for snack, whole wheat sandwhich, and various pastas for dinner), I've even taken LAXATIVES and still nothing will come out. sitting on the toilet for long periods of time gets me nowhere. I have major stomach pain and If I don't 'go' soon, should I stop eating until it finally comes?

I know you can buy pH paper for testng urine but I wonder if ther is any other way I can tell when my body becomes more alkaline.
Are there noticable efects, or signs when that happens? How does it make you feel? :) Thanks!

All day, I could feel it in my throat and it hurts when I eat things, and I can feel it in my throat when I don't do anything. It feels awful! At lunch I could barely eat, so I gave most of my food to my friends. The pill wasn't a big one or anything, so I don't know why this happened.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help it go down? I'm not sure if it already went down, or it it's just buring in my throat, but I need help!

I was just wondering if it is possible to sneeze in your sleep? If so it is possible to stay asleep, or would you wake yourself up?

I have some major problems with a neighbor and his dog barking into all hours of the night. I tried purchasing a ultrasonic device that is supposed to stop neighborhood dogs from barking but it doesn't work. I looked into why and the decible rating just isn't high enough.

So I bought a 152db train horn. This thing is incredibly loud as you can imagine. In fact it's loud enough that if you're about 10 feet away it will give you an upset stomach. You can actually "feel" the sound inside your body.

I've altered the horns so they emit their sound at around 22000 to 21000 hz and I believe. I know I cannot hear the sound but it's blatantly obvious the neighbor's dog sure can.

My question is, is being around this harmful to one's hearing? Since a human cannot hear this hz sound but it is being emitted at such a level can it cause hearing damage?

I have hemeroids and the applicator broke for my medicine. I applied in with my finder one day. Starting at the entrance tube to my butt, about 2 - 3 inches in i noticed a wall. The tube continued upwards from here. Is this wall normal?

I worry a lot and it would be nice if some one could answer this fast for me.

I have had the usual cold symptoms; runny nose, tiredness, coughing, sore throte, and stomach aches. My mom is just like, "Here, shelly, just take a dayquil!!" It doesn't really do nothin. Besides, dayquils are like giant. Find them hard to swallow. I really want to get better.

My 60 yr old mother had a stroke within the last month. She is home now recovering and today she received a letter in the mail stating that she will be fired in 30 days. She is a receptionist for a local school but has been employed there for less than 1 year. Will this affect her disability insurance and if so does she need to get a lawyer?

I am pretty sure i dont have OCD officially but i know i have habits like OCD. I have to have the blinds straight and if their not i fix them. I check the house locks 5 times before i go to bed, and i am sure all unecessary electronics are unplugged. I have certain little things that have to be "just right". Like my fingernail polish bottles are lined up according to size and color, and so are my colored pencils and sharpies and hair scrunchies and stuff like that, but my closet is a wreck. my room is always organized and i wash my hands with hand sanitizer like every hour i know it sounds reallllly ocd but im pretty sure im just peculier about certain things. Anyways i just wanted to hear what types of OCD habits you guys have.

My grandmother has hyperthyroidism -- she's getting something called thyroid storms. Every doctor we've been to says that she needs some sort of radiation treatment, but we can't find any sort of coverage. She went to Parkland today and was told that she'd been misinformed about their sliding scale payments -- & then two doctors told her to hurry up, because she's dying. Every doctor she's been to has said that since she was finally diagnosed in Nov06.

We just need SOMEWAY to get her on a program that will help us pay for the radiation pill treatment. It's suppose to stop the mental confusion, forgetfulness, everything. Her heart is going -- she could have a heart attack because of the hyperthyroidism and because of the pills she takes that help treat it.

She & Grandad care for the grandkids -- me, my younger sister, and my 24-year-old severely autistic brother. None of us wants her to die.
