All day, I could feel it in my throat and it hurts when I eat things, and I can feel it in my throat when I don't do anything. It feels awful! At lunch I could barely eat, so I gave most of my food to my friends. The pill wasn't a big one or anything, so I don't know why this happened.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how to help it go down? I'm not sure if it already went down, or it it's just buring in my throat, but I need help!

sometimes the problem is not that it's stuck there, maybe your throat is a little sore because the aspirin scratched it, drink a big glass of warm milk with honey, this wil dissolve any fragments of the aspirin that might be stuck and will help heal the damaged areas... it does hurt a lot, though... next time, to avoid this, take a big gulp pf water before the aspirin, one with it to swallow and one after, this should be enough to relax the throat muscles before the aspirin so it won't hurt you and then to let it flow right to your stomach!

When I was a youngster I always heard my mother talking about food going down into the wrong throat. I don't know if that is the case with you, otherwise why wouldn't the food and drink you've had not wash it down, or is it just the sensation since aspirins are so harsh?

Well, I'm not doctor, but I would suggest that at this point you chew on three or four Tums, or any anti-acid as far as that goes. And the next time you take an aspirin, don't be in a hurry to do it and drink plenty of water to wash it down thoroughly. Hope this helps.

you could try to induce vomiting if it is still stuck. it probably rubbed your throat the wrong way, and what you're feeling is soreness.
