Whenever my lips are chapped and I lick them hoping to moisturize them, it seems to eventually make the situation even worse. Why does this happen?

i have a frequent problem that happens where i work 12+ hrs a day on a regular basis and i'm so tired and worn out but when i come home and lay down, i can't sleep! i end up staying up all night because i can't fall asleep, even when i have every appliance and light in the house turned off, i stay up, with my thoughts in a constant stream, until i have to be up the next morning for work again. is this normal? do i have a serious problem or is it something minor?

I've never had chronic constipation until I was diagnosed with bi-polar and now I have to take a lamactil and effexor XR. I think those meds are the cause.

I've tried high fiber cereals, fiberous fruits and veggies, psyllium husk, an over the counter colon cleanser from the healthfood store, and an herbal laxative tea. Nothing works exept the tea. I also drink lots of water. I have been seditary lately and have recently started exercising, but I dont think that'll be enough.

What to do?

I ran out of my prescription, missed two days, and can't get more for another day. I am feeling dizzy and am wondering if I should worry about any other withdrawal side effects happening.
Any help would be much appreciated!

About 2 weeks ago my eye felt like i had something in it so i went to the school nurse where she rinsed my eye with eye drops. It stopped bothering me for about a week then i began waking up with it a little sore and puffy. Then about 3 days ago it began aching when i touched around my bottom eyelashes. Then this morning i woke up and hurt alot and was pretty puffy and about an hour later i was looking at it and it looks like a white stye except about 4 times bigger and i was pulling off some sort of a mucous from it. I'm about to go out with my friends and i don't know what to do excpecially seeing as i didn't even where makeup to work but i need to put it on now:(

If so, how do "pro-life" individuals get around it? Is it something that a medical student can "opt out" from? I need some guidance and would really appreciate if those of you who have gone through medical training could tell me what your decisions were and why.

What is going on with our Health Care in the States? Why is it so messed up for the masses?

If you got HMO, your screwed. If you have Medicare/Medical/Medicade, your screwed. PPO, NPO, it's all junk and a big waste of money. So inefficient. How horrible it is to live in America right now. And why isn't anything even being done about this. This has been an issue for decades now.

Serious answers only please.

Is the following actually true?

1. People who ingested microwaved foods showed a statistically higher
incidence of stomach and intestinal cancers, plus a general
degeneration of peripheral cellular tissues and a gradual breakdown
of the function of the digestive and excretory systems.

2. Due to chemical alterations within food substances, malfunctions
occurred within the lymphatic system, causing a degeneration in the
immune system's ability to protect the body against neoplastic
(cancerous) growth.

3. Microwave exposure caused significant decreases in the nutritional
value of all foods studied, most significantly in the
bio-availability of Bcomplex vitamins, vitamin C, vitamin E,
essential minerals and lipotropics (substances that prevent abnormal
accumulation of fat).

4. Heating prepared meats in a microwave sufficiently for human
consumption creates the cancer-causing agent d-nitrosodiethanolamine.

5. Cancer-causing free radicals were formed within certain
trace-mineral, molecular formations in plant substances --
particularly in raw root vegetables.

6. Ingestion of microwaved foods caused a higher percentage of
cancerous cells within the blood serum.

7. Microwaving foods alters their elemental food substances, leading
to disorders in the digestive system
