Pain & Pain Management - March 2007

I have had a BAD pain in my jaw (right where it opens) feels like I have a tooth ache in all my lower teeth. The weird thing is it is mostly in my left side. No other symptoms. I have bad sinus problems but even when they aren't bothering me this pain is crazy! I was checked for T.M.J. the dentist thought for sure.(but no) I had xrays done. I have no cavities. It's been about 1yr. since it started. went away now it's back. Ibuprofen helps a lil but I'm taking too many. Thanks alot!

heres the deal....i had left temple pain...and i heard a little bit of popping...so i went to the hospital...they did a cat scan...it was normal....spinal tap.....it was normal....after that i felt a headache from the spinal tap....but now the same headache is back...it wakes me up at night...and also when i blow my nose i feel pressure in my ears...also a little bit of blood when i blow it but other than that its clear.....................can you give me an idea of what this could be?my doctor also gave me an order for an mri if i was still anxious...should i go have it taken?the headache is on and off...sometimes a little burning...somethimes a sharp pain

also a history of anxiety

I've just joined the track team at my highschool, and after the first few days of practice my legs are so sore that I can barely walk. I know that after a few weeks it will get better, but is there any suggestions you have for me to soothe my muscles???

I had been on 20 mg Prednisone for 10 days for Mononucleosis. I didn't have any side effects when I was taking them, but I stopped taking them yesterday as my doctor told me and now a lot of my muscles are sore. I didn't do anything strenuous or sleep wrong, when I woke up this morning I felt fine. Now I ache all over. Is this a side effect from Prednisone? Or because I'm coming down off it or what?

i went to the doctor wednesday and she prescribed me with clarinex and cephadyn but i am still in a lot of pain to the point where i can't sleep even after taking the meds. what's the deal?

I have been having chronic pain in my back, hip and knees. I'm taking Ibprofen 800mg 3 times a day, but its not always helpful, I asked my doctor for something stronger and she said no, so I don't know what do do, I can't hardly sleep at night.

I have suffered for years from debilitating lower back pain, and doctors only recommend pills or surgery. It comes and goes, but as of recent it has been really bad, cause stabbing pains in my lower sides, tingling in my toes, and hindering my range of motion greatly. I am young (26 yrs old) and it is ruining my quality of life. Any feedback or advice on inversion therapy is much welcomed

my zip code is 413-782, my pain meds are only prescribed by doctors at a real hopspital. Dr;s offices and Clinics cannot prescribe valium and pain medication like codeine. I see a Neurosurgeon in Ansan (a specialist) but am without medications now for 2 weeks waiting for my next available appt. and I am in great pain. Please help me. I could go to Daehwa but I am new to the area and will need instructions on how to get pretty much anywhere, Thanks

for the past couple of days i have been experiencing a pain in the left side of my lower back. i think it might be caused by running and stress but i havent been doing much out of the ordinary that i would assume would cause it. its not a pulled hurt. more of just a sore hurt, but not bruised.
for a year or two ive had this clicking in my hip and my hips constantly pop like im cracking my knuckels. again i think its running, but ive had it occasionally before i started running.
i have yet to go to the doctors for this, i know i should, and i will, i just wanted some possible info on this first.

Can anyone identify this pain pill please? Need to tell my GP who has given me oxycodone, then demeral which did not work,now he wants me to take perocet. I dont want to take any more pain pills which does not work. That one worked in hospital. I'm in another state and they will not tell me on the phone. I do not remember any #,mark, brand. Just large and shiny capsule.

I've already been taking Skelaxin — prescribed by my doctor, but that's not doing a thing for the muscles in my neck. I really don't want to have to pay for another office visit so soon, so I'm wondering if anyone knows of maybe an alternative medicine or therapy. Whatever it is, though, it needs to be aggressive. These muscles are giving me terrible headaches.

Hey, today when I woke up I have had extreme neck pain on the right side. I'm positive it had to do with me sleeping in the wrong position. Has anyone else had this? Should I go to the hospital or just wait and see if the pain goes away.

at soccer practice we did lunges, frog hops, squats, and wall sits. pretty much everything that works the quad muscles. my quads hurt a lot after practice, but then it was 10x worse the next day. i cant walk too well with them hurting like this and i can walk up and down stairs without horrible pain. iv missed practice today due to this but i want my quads to feel better by fri for practice and on Saturday for my game. Iv stretched a lot and ate bananas but r there any other ways that will help out my quads and help them feel better by Friday?

DOES ANYONE KNOW WHERE I CAN FIND A NEUROLIGIST THAT TAKES MEDICADE?HOSPITALIZED 2 TIMES IN A WEEK.
