our daughters' insurance won't cover gastric bypass surgery. Her weight is 400 plus and no diet plan has helped. Her health is good (except for a thyroid problem) and knee and feet problems due to weight. No b/p or heart or diabetes problems. She needs help but doesn't know what else to do. She has tried liquid/weight watchers/hypnosis.We live in the midwest (Missouri). Anyone know of a clinic/study/or doctor that would consider treating her without insurance coverage? Thanks.

She just had "pace maker" put in and was very weak afterwards, for about 1 month. Since starting this medicine (?) two weeks ago -- "trenton" -- my cousin says she has actually gained much of her strength back and doing much better. NOTE: I cannot find anything, as yet, about this drug in any medical journals, etc. Any help is greatly appreciated! Thank you in advance.

Like for instance if you draw a line from the middle of your forhead down to between your feet and one side tends to be more prone to joint problems a week eye skin problems etc. If one side is being more affected and the other side never has any problems does that mean anything?

A lawyer married a woman who had previously divorced ten husbands.

On their wedding night, she told her new husband, "Please be gentle, I'm still a virgin."

"What?" said the puzzled groom.

"How can that be if you've been married ten times?"

"Well, Husband #1 was a sales representative: he kept telling me how great it was going to be.

Husband #2 was in software services: he was never really sure how it was supposed to function, but he said he'd look into it and get back to me.

Husband #3 was from field services: he said everything checked out diagnostically but he just couldn't get the system up.

Husband #4 was in telemarketing: even though he knew he had the order, he didn't know when he would be able to deliver.

Husband #5 was an engineer: he understood the basic process but wanted three years to research, implement, and design a new state-of-the-art method.

Husband #6 was from finance and administration: he thought he knew how, but he wasn't sure whether it was his job or not.

Husband #7 was in marketing: although he had a nice product, he was never sure how to position it.

Husband #8 was a psychologist: all he ever did was talk about it.

Husband #9 was a gynecologist: all he did was look at it.

Husband #10 was a stamp collector: all he ever did was... God! I miss him! But now that I've married you, I'm really excited!"

"Good," said the new husband, "but, why?"

"You're a lawyer. This time I know I'm gonna get screwed!"

My wife wasn't feeling good and had diarhea but also there was this hard mass that was about the size of a grape with a long (about 2-3 inches) "tail" looking thing attached to it. It was purple-brown in color and had some white-yellowish mucus on it. It didn't look like anything she's ever eaten but it was too big to be a worm (that I know of).

Any thoughts?

My hands have been shaking since I was little and I've been to the doctors and they couldn't come up with an answer. I had a heart murmur so would this make any difference? It gets a lot worse when I'm really nervous and I think it makes my writing a bit wobbly. Any ideas?

I'm sleepy when I go to bed at 10 and when I wake up at 6:30 I'm sleepy and I'm sleepy and groggy all during the day. I never feel refreshed in the morning and almost never during the day. I always have these dark circles under my eyes. I can't take pills or consume alchohol, so please don't suggest that. Thank you.

HI
Amazing how come a lot of people are just answering questions just to answer or just to see who is the most STUPID.I asked a question earlier about keeping expired meds at home.and (almost)all I got it's hate or stupidity.
I speak english only since 3 years and I passed the TOEFL exam required by all good universities.at list i can speak french , english and spanish. What about you?
That's not a stupid question because laws are different between states.please see the "JCAHO Changes Related to High-Risk Medications"...AND YOU WILL UNDERSTAND THE RESPONSABILITY OF A HOMECARE NURSE CONCERNING THE PATIENT'S FAMILY EDUCATION.
If you Work for a homecare agency,YOU SHOULD KNOW THAT YOU MIGHT HAVE A SURVEY AT ANY TIME.EVEN IN A PATIENT HOME (if the family is ok with that of course)
I can confirm you that I'm a nurse and I passed my NCLEX with a score of 81%.you might find it in all the public records. My question is to know if i could be in trouble, not the family.Stop that stupid hate

I need to go to the doctor but I feel lousy.I dont want to sit in a room full of sick little kids. What I have is chronic,. what they have is contaigous probly .so if doctors cant make house calls I think they should have two waiting rooms one for people with colds flu ect and one for people with diabetes ,epilepsy anything that doesnt spread. What do you think.

I am pretty young and I have a lot of wait on my shoulders. I have an apartment, a fiance, college, two jobs, and a baby on the way. Sometimes it feels like all of that wait is gonna crash down on me. I'm not looking for suicide prevention or anything...it's not like that. I just wanna here from other people that have tons of stress like me and how they deal with it because I'm having a lot of trouble dealing with mine.
