My wife wasn't feeling good and had diarhea but also there was this hard mass that was about the size of a grape with a long (about 2-3 inches) "tail" looking thing attached to it. It was purple-brown in color and had some white-yellowish mucus on it. It didn't look like anything she's ever eaten but it was too big to be a worm (that I know of).

Any thoughts?

FYI: She flushed it and then she told me about it later. We don't have it to take to a doctor.

is she sure it came out her rear end, and was she on her period at the time?
it could be that a lot of the pain and discomfort she was feeling wasn't due to the diarrhea, but that she miscarried.
go to your doc now!

Go to the doctor.
Any dark color bowel movement could indicate bleeding
internally.
If she is over 40 and also you should have regular colon screening.
Better safe than sorry.

It reminds me of the movie "Aliens". Has she visited any strange planets outside of our solar system? Has any aliens landed on her? Take her to the doctor to determine what it is.

I have heard of a similar tale of a woman that picked one of those out of the toilet bowl, nurtured it, and it eventually became president of Venezuela.
