These are deer ticks and the most likely to carry Lyme Disease!

If you are near a pharmacy go buy a tick puller. It's a flat bar of metal with a special slit for pulling off ticks without leaving bits of them in your body.
This is directly from webmd: Don't use bleach or alcohol:

Traditional methods of tick removal, such as applying fingernail polish, rubbing alcohol, or a hot match head to the tick, do not affect tick detachment. These methods also may induce the tick to salivate or regurgitate into the wound, thus transmitting more of an infectious agent.

Read the webmd stuff listed below:

Well we can say that you are "Officially Ticked OFF" !?

The best way to get tackle them is to remove them physically if possible, you can use rubbing alcohol, Neem Leaves extract in water woks well.

Due to the potential danger of Lyme's Disease, "DO NOT TAKE ASPIRIN" as it can complicate the situation for worse.

These are seed ticks. Use duct tape to get them off. Then soak in a bath with a couple capfuls of bleach in the water.

You need to remove them immediately! Best to use tweezers, and make sure that you don't just pull off the body, you need to get the head out as well. The head will actually be below the skin. There is nothing that you can just pour on them to kill them. You definitely have to physically pull them out.

Use tweezers and remove them, drop them in some bleach or light a candle and place them in the fire of it. DON"T POUR BLEACH ON YOU! Sorry, it may sound stupid to feel the need to say this, but you would be surprised how many people would try it.

If they're really, really small, they could be mites. Either way, alcohol is a great way to get them off.
