I'm sleepy when I go to bed at 10 and when I wake up at 6:30 I'm sleepy and I'm sleepy and groggy all during the day. I never feel refreshed in the morning and almost never during the day. I always have these dark circles under my eyes. I can't take pills or consume alchohol, so please don't suggest that. Thank you.

Um, I'm not a woman, I'm a teen. And I do eat healthy, I make sure I have a balanced diet every day. And the doctor said that I was healthy. So, anything useful that I could do?

either your blood pressure is too low or you need to change your diet I'd say (since you won't supplement with vitamins and what not). try eating a balanced diet with lots of fruits and vegetables and drink ginseng green tea in the morning and chamomile tea at night. also, make sure you are in good physical shape... just being skinny doesn't mean you are in good shape.. jog, run, bike, swim.. whatever.. and you will feel more energetic.

You probably have an iron deficiency, which is very normal for women.... Especially when that time of the month hits.

What you want to do is take either a womans vitamin supplement, but since you say that you cannot take pills I would siggest eating high iron content food... Which would be very dark green vegatables like raw spinach (but maybe wait until the whole E Coli scare is done)... You can also look online to find high iron content foods.

I had the same symptoms, the dark circles and feeling anemic and tired... my doc told me to take womens vitamins with iron and excercise more.

You should definately talk to a doctor about it next time you go in. He'll probably suggest the same things.

I recommend Greens+ ( http://www.greensplus.com ). It's the best natural thing to take that will make you feel great and hence I am sure your sleep will improve too. Look on http://froogle.com for it if you decide to go this route if you want the cheapest buy or if that is not important visit your nearest health food store. If after trying this nothing improves you might want to see a doctor to make sure you don't have some other problem which is making you sleepy even when you get close to 8 hours sleep. You can also try to take a power nap during the day and see if this helps at all.

You might lack certain nutrients. I'm not sure what your current diet is. You might not be getting enough of the right exercises. Also, fresh air in the room (sometimes rooms can be dusty or stuffy), a good room temperature, and a comfortable bed with fresh sheets might help you sleep better. Add a little soothing music maybe.

It's time to see your doctor. Sometimes felling like that can indicate a sleeping disorder. Sleep apnea is the most common and it has the potential to be dangerous. (Sleep apnea is a disorder where you quit breathing when you sleep). There are other sleep disorders out there too. Just tell your doctor how you feel and he will take it from there. He may even refer you to a sleep study program if you have one near you.
