all around my third knuckles my skin is kind of white and really really dry. I put lotion on them but then they are dry the next day. The rest of my hands are okay. I crack my knuckles a lot and bend my fingers backwards as well. Is this the cause? And how do i prevent it?

At one time my face was clear, glowing, and radiant....now I get minor breakouts here and there. Its been going on like this for about 6 months now. I am very concerned about my personal appearence, and would like to go back to having clear skin! I am fully acknowledged about acne, but nothing seems to help! And whenever a breakout occurs, I always get left with a scar mark, it never fails! Even with me not picking at my face! Help me!!!

My scalp is really dry when the cold weather comes around. Anybody know any real good moisturizing shampoos? Head and Shoulder and Selsun Blue both do not work! HELP PLEASE!

I have the flu and cold since this Friday and I still have it now. My nose hurts, I mean it like it's red allover and it servere-ly dry and when I move my nose around it hurts, when I stretch it. So far, I used Curel and CVS lotion and Vick's VAPORub and Specially Soft tissues.
How can I make my nose back to normal, w/o irritating it and what can I do to prevent it? What cause me to have 'red' nose while I'm sick?

I saw this commercial of Proactiv today, and I was wondering if anyone has tried proactiv. I have acne, its not severe acne, but I want to have a clean face, so can proactiv help me cure acne? Anyone knows in which store I can find proactive? Whats its price?

What are other creams, scrubs, lotions , etc. that are good to prevent and stop acne? What's their price and where can I get them? (Nothing to expensive, $60 or less). I have slightly oily skin.

I just got a piercing at the back/middle of my scalp and I noticed that it is secreting a deep purple fluid with a putrid stink...what is this? Has anyone else experienced this? I went back to the piercing parlor and the woman who pierced my scalp told me that it was not normal and gave me some ecinechea oil to put on the oozing hole in my head, but its not working and its soooo foul. Please help, my family deserted me and my bf dumped me because it was so nasty!

Im 16 nad i got a problem with acne, one day i could be clear of them and the next ill have 3 or 4 spots showin on my face, what is the best thing to do to keep spots at bay,
and dont say use specialised spot remover becasue i have tried everything and it doesnt work.
I try everytihing to keep them away, i wash 2 a day, i eat healthy, i drink healthy, and im not stessed,so whats the probblem??

I have dry skin with KP, but I hate having to put on lotion all the time after bathing because I'm also hairy and that means extra time rubbing it in to get rid of the film. I would rather use some very effective moisturizing directly in the shower or bath. All the moisturizing cleaners I've tried, including Dove and Cetaphil and Aveeno, have not worked well enough for me. I need something to not only moisturize but also lock it in.

I use moisterizing chapstick everyday, but it only works temporarily, my lips, but mostly the skin under my bottom lip gets really bad, it cracks and peels all the time, i don't know what it comes from either, i know it gets worse if i lick my lips all the time, but i don't. Anyone have any remedies for this?

i am 17 born under the sighn of the libra,I weigh 112 and my height is 5.4 I hate myself everything is wrong with me. I have acne i cant get rid of, two of my teeth next to my front teeth are out of shape and i have no muuny for braces, my thys and stumic is fat its ugly and i cant get rid of it i cant do my workouts no more because of my back it pops the bone and i feel it i dont know what it is so no more sit ups my hair is brittal and dry my arms have thik hair on them and i just hate myself so right now im gonna try to eat still but vomit it up after dinner i realy have no coice i dont care any more i dont care if i die anyt morelife is a pain,life is insain, life is a hazerd you know i might make a poem about how i feel, can you help me?

2 of my finger nails on my right hand are lifting. They're extremely dry and bleed very easily. I have a doctors appointment, but curious if anyone has any ideas what it could be. It's very painful, and hard to use my fingers.

I have been back from Iraq for about 7months, and when I first got back I broke out in what look like ring worm and the doctor gave me ointment for it, but did not help then went to VA and they told me it was psorios not ring worm they did not take a sample of it, and the Floucinonide USP seemed to work for a month or two but it's back and the cream is not working.
The sores start out as red circle then it's kind of raised and dry skin in the middle itches sometimes and when shower they are more irated and show up more defined. I don't think it's scriosis because I have always had a little on top of the head and medacated shampoo takes care of it and no problem, I have never broke out like this please advise.

I've heard about how you have to wash you face with warm water first (because it opens your pores) and then wash it with cold water (because it closes your pores). I do this but theres a side of my left cheek (a small one) that always gets irritated. I used to clean my face with those clean cleansers (soapy cloth) but I realized that it dries my face too much.

I began using benza-clin acne medication a few months ago, and the doctor told me it would make my face oily, but only for a short period of time. It's really annoying, and I want to know how to minimize/get rid of this oil. Any suggestions?

I have these areas about the size of a nickel on each top of my cheekbones. I am thinking stress or lack of sleep. They seem to be more apparent at times. Is there any cure?
