I have the flu and cold since this Friday and I still have it now. My nose hurts, I mean it like it's red allover and it servere-ly dry and when I move my nose around it hurts, when I stretch it. So far, I used Curel and CVS lotion and Vick's VAPORub and Specially Soft tissues.
How can I make my nose back to normal, w/o irritating it and what can I do to prevent it? What cause me to have 'red' nose while I'm sick?

I use a little bit of Vaseline on the red part and also a nice steamy shower will help too. Your nose is irritated from constantly blowing it and also the inside of your nose might be dry from any medications that you might be using to "dry it up". Be sure to drink plenty of fluids too!

Good luck and I hope you fell better soon!!!

Go to the drug store and get a nose spray called "Ocean" or "Sea" (depending what drugstore) It is a saline solution that is used to moisten the membranes in your nose. It works.

Drink lots of soup! Its a good cure, it really helps. If all else fails, just buy a week's supply of tissues.

Another thing you might want to try is softer tissues (there's at least one brand out there), tissues with lotion embedded into them, or softer tissues with lotion embedded in them.

* "Puffs" or "Puffs Plus"--softer tissues (I believe the "Plus" variety has the lotion in it; read the label);

* I believe Kleenex also has a lotion-embedded product.
