I had been menopausic for over a year and a half; was on Tamoxifen but it caused me to get polyps so they changed it 2 weeks ago to arimidex.

I will have the polyps removed in 2 months.

I did stop tamoxifen almost 3 months ago on doctor's instructions.

They said I am menopausic and could not have kids, never had before, that is sad.

I am over 40 years old.

Now I started bleeding which should not happen at all.

Can I get pregnant?

Is the bleeding dangerous?

I just want an extra opinion.

They will check the polyps when removed to check for another cancer.

thanks

Had bilateral mastectomy (for DCIS) with reconstruction so fat & muscles are in chest/breast area, MAMMOGRAMS OR X-RAYS NOT RECOMMENDED, WHY?
There was no invasion into lymph nodes.
[mammograms are recommended when one has a breast implant so why not after having a reconstruction with ones own body tissue?]

As the stoma leaks all the time, and you have to remove all the glue before you can attatch the new one. Just can't find a good way to do this.

I have Hodgkins Lymphoma (lymph node cancer) and have been getting 3 injections of chemotherapy already, which span over almost 5 weeks already. My terrible cough is almost entirely gone, but I still have the bumps in my abdominal area (I think they are probably cancer, according to the doctor)

In your experience, how long does it take for the tangeable tumors to start to shrink?

Thanks

Here's a tough one.

You inherited cancer from one of your parents. The cancer and its treatment caused numerous side effects such as hearing loss and liver problems. You have an above average chance of developing another form of cancer later in life and a 1 in 2 chance of passing the disease on to children.

The parent who passed the disease on to you had 5 recurrences of cancer before dying middle-aged.

Most of your childhood was spent in hospitals, either you or your parent being the patient.

Do you think that marrying and having kids would be selfish? Would you go ahead, knowing that you may also die young, or possibly pass your illness on and cause more pain and suffering?

She just had a mammogram done, and now we have to painfully wait for the news. I don't know what do say to her, how to feel. I feel guilty for going on with my life, not knowing what will happen. Has anyone else ever experienced this? I'm single, no children...she has no grandchildren and I'll be all alone if this is cancer. What do I do?

My grandpa was recently diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer(the worst there is). He has been going through chemo and it has taken a toll on his body. Doctors predict he has about six months at the most. How do I explain to my five year old sister that he is going to die? I'm afraid if I say or don't say the wrong thing, we might run into some uncomfortable questions later.

My grandfather has bladder cancer, and he is now having trouble swallowing. He won't go to the doctor (he is not receiving medical treatment), so I can't ask the doctor. My best guess would be that his lymph nodes are swollen and are acting almost like an imposing structure on his trachea... but that's just a guess. Does anyone know why he might be having difficulty swallowing?

Thank you very much! I'll pick a best answer TODAY!

I have had this little lump in my breast for months.. it hasn't grown and it's not painful.. but it isn't going away. I never went to my doctor because I thought if it was cancer I would know it and there is nothing to worry about. Should I be worried?

I have a friend who has lung cancer and i was wondering about the price range of such a procedure. I don't want the exact price because it is obviously relative to the pacients condition, however i was curios about whether it was somewhere in the range of thousand of dollars, tens of thousand, hundreds.

Please, I would greatly appreciate anyone's help
