I had to take tamoxifen but then I got polyps due to it; so they changed my medication.

They will remove polyps and I am not supposed to bleed at all but I am now.

I am menopausic because I am 43 never had kids they said I will never be able to have any.

How dangerous is this and what happens?

I will go to my doctor I just want other opinions of people who have had the same problem. thanks

Getting a second opinion is highly recommended.

Many times the quality of care you may receive will depend greatly on your doctor and his / her experience. You should ask how many breast cancer cases your doctor treats.

Tamoxifen is an older, and well proven drug, but there are newer treatments available which have shown better results in large clinical trials.

Tamoxifen acts on the hormones in our bodies.

Presumably the polyps you developed were in your uterus.
This would explain the hormonal link.

What happens after the removal of polyps can vary, did they only remove the polyps?

Mine were so enlarged that given I was in my 40's and not planning more children, they removed the whole uterus.

You say you are menopausal, is this natural? due to chemo?

If it was an effect of chemotherapy, the change in hormone levels due to changing your medications could influence this, sometimes the chemo induced menopause can be incomplete.

Mearly the fact that you have had polyps removed can cause dleading in the healing period following.

You don't mention how long you have been menopausal, some women will continue to have intermittent bleading for years as things taper off.
