I have Hodgkins Lymphoma (lymph node cancer) and have been getting 3 injections of chemotherapy already, which span over almost 5 weeks already. My terrible cough is almost entirely gone, but I still have the bumps in my abdominal area (I think they are probably cancer, according to the doctor)

In your experience, how long does it take for the tangeable tumors to start to shrink?

Thanks

It is entirely possible that the chemo will kill the active cancer, but that your "lumps" are benign tumors that may remain, and need to be surgically removed.

You should ask the doctor who is administering/overseeing the chemotherapy.

Good luck!

Chemotherapy drugs are good at killing cancer cells, but they can damage some healthy cells as well. This is why chemotherapy may cause short term (acute), long term (chronic), and permanent side effects, some of which may be severe. Generally patients coming to normalcy, including growth of hair it may take 4 to 6 months maximum-
