I am recovering from chemo and my hair is growing very slowly and is very curly on top. It used to be straight. Any suggestions? What have you heard are preventive foods or supplements tp prevent cancer from reoccuring? If you have had breast cancer do you get regular MRI, bone scans and how often? Any one out there that had a 3a with lymph node invovlement? How are you doing?

so in second grade i found this small lump on the back of my neck on the right side at the hair line. i never told anyone cuz they taught us about cancer like 2 days before that and i got super scared i was going to die. every once and while i'll feel it and think 'i better get it checked out' but always forget. i'm now a freshman in college and wondering if i should worry about it. it never hurts or anything. and it's under the skin. i'm guessing that since i'm still alive and kicking i shouldn't worry about it. should i?

My grandmother, who is 83 years old, was diagnosed with ovarian cancer over two years ago. She has been stage 4 once, back to stage 2, and now back to stage 4. She has extreme abdominal swelling and pain (ascites). She had 6 quarts of fluid taken off her stomach 3 weeks ago, and 8 more quarts taken off two days ago. Her stomach has already begun swelling again. She can not take certain types of chemo because her esosphagus has been damaged. She was supposed to get chemo intraveneously yesterday, but the doctor would not allow it because she did not look well enough. My grandparents are old school and do not question the doctor on anything, so we have no idea how long she may have to live. Does anybody have any experience with a prognosis, life expectancy, quality of life? She is a Christian, she is ready to go to the Lord, but she continues to have procedures (parencentesis) done because her husband is not ready to let her go.

Hi my mum had a mamogram 2 weeks ago and has been asked to go to the hospital tomorrow. The letter states she should bring someone with her. Does that mean she has cancer? Will they do a biopsy on the lump before confirming? What happens? Im really worried.

My dad was diagnosed this past friday with stage IV pancratic cancer. It has spread to his liver and other organs. When i asked the doctor if we can do a liver transplant he said no without any hesitation. There are 5 kids (19-31) who would be willing to give my dad thier liver if it can save him. Also the doctor won't remove any of the cancer surgically. He would rather leave it to chemo/radiation therapy which gives an average of 6 months to live. I DO NOT want my father to die anytime soon. He will never know his grandchilderen nor have the chance to see any of his kids marry. My dad is 53, about 6ft and when healthy weighed slightly over 200 lbs. Doesn't smoke and drinks occaionally yet doesn't get drunk. He is a banker therefore he's not really around high level of airborne toxins. Can someone PLEASE HELP ME, help my dad!!!
