This is my MOM's 3rd time with cancer now. The Doctors say it is the worst yet. The only bad thing is it seems like they dont want to help her the same now because she doesn't have insurance anymore. So If I could get say $1-$2 from a lot of people it should be enough to help her with her current treatments. If you would like to help her please e-mail me.

Thanks in advance for your support.

My boyfriend has a Brain Tumor, he went thru chemo for 6 months. Two months later he was told the Tumor is growing again ... He started Chemo last month, but has now been denied by OHP ... Until we can get some kind of insurance he can't continue the Chemo.. Does anyone know if this will make it worse or can he start back up after only being on Chemo for one month and be okay ... He can't see the doctor either for lack of insurance at this time.

Cancer is very hard to live with when you are the person with it. But seeing a love or a patient going through the radiation and the chemo . Losing weight, losing their hair, not being able to eat and getting up everyday for your treatments. I have been in this line of work for the last five years and it does not get any easier to deal with. But I am so very glad that I chose to work with cancer patients because it is a very rewarding career to be in. I love taking care of my patients. Be able to bring a smile to a person's face or to hear them say thank you for being here for me is so wonderful and it makes you feel so good on the inside. But to see a love one go through this is even harder. So that is why I say it is not easy to tell someone that you are close to that the other one may die soon is a real challenge. But some how I got get the strenghth to do it.

If pharmacies are supposed to be about keeping healthy and healing illness, then why do they sell cigarettes? Do they want people to get cancer and other diseases to increase drug sales?

A main ingredient in beer may help prevent prostate cancer and enlargement, according to a new study. But researchers say don't rush out to stock the refrigerator because the ingredient is present in such small amounts that a person would have to drink more than 17 beers to benefit.

Oregon State University researchers say the compound xanthohumol, found in hops, inhibits a specific protein in the cells along the surface of the prostate gland.

The protein acts like a signal switch that turns on a variety of animal and human cancers, including prostate cancer.

Cancer typically results from uncontrolled cell reproduction and growth. Xanthohumol belongs to a group of plant compounds called flavonoids, which can trigger the programmed cell death that controls growth, researchers say.

Xanthohumol was first discovered in hops in 1913, but its health effects were not known until about 10 years ago, when it was first studied by Fred Stevens, assistant professor of medicinal chemistr
