From any woman of the same age that perhaps also has 2 young children, 10 & 5, as to how to cope with the illness & not get angry at the kids. She is just about to start her chemo therapy & she is scared. Please help us if you can. It would be good if you also lived in Auckland.

My seven year old daughter has been having problems with feeling the urge to go to the bathroom all the time. It's been 2 weeks and no bladder infection, yeast infection , or sign of vaginal infection is present. During a hospital visit they x-rayed the abdomin and found a fracture on her pelvic. She has had no injury that we can think of. She is frustrated and the doctor ordered a bone scan which came back saying a fracture or abnormal. The family physcian referring us to a bone specialist. It will be three weeks on Friday and we are worried. Can anyone help with what this might be?

My uncle has leukemia and they just found out my dad is a match. Has anyone ever done this for someone before? I know its not comparable to what my uncle must go through but I can't help being concerned for my dad. Is it as easy as giving blood?

my mother is 55 years old and for the past 12+ years she has been complaining of all the symptoms of bilary duct disease. it has only been recently that they have diagnose her with that. every time she had an attack they never knew what was wrong. now that they know she meets all the criteria for having her gallbladder removed but the surgeon who examined her said she does not present with jaundice so he feels she should wait. the problem with that is she cant keep any food down and is consistently loosing weight. she is just over 5 feet tall and weighs approx. 110 lbs. this question is for any medical proffesionals.. is it standard to wait until the patient has jaundice? at that point it may be too late and once jaundice is present with all the other severe symptoms her organs may fail and she may die. she is a veteran at the VA hosp. in texas. how can we (the family) get them to perform the surgery NOW before it is too late.

How have your priorities changed since you were diagnosed?

I was diagnosed in Feb, and looks like it was surgical removal, but still in the surveillance period.

I am astonished at how unwilling I am now to put up with cr@p from other people. I have always considered myself a cordial and gracious person, but WOW has that changed. I don't get rude, I just get away! I am so much closer to my husband and daughter, and I am amazingly, much more tolerant of them than I am the rest of the populace.

I even quit my job. The office was so bad, it put the word "fun" in "dysfunctional". Not really the best time to be without insurance, but was able to Cobra for now. Start the new job in October.

Confirmed by mammogram and U/S. Externally Isoechoic in heterogeneously dense breasts. It has partially defined/obsured microlobulated margins. Internal echostructure is homogeneous and hypoechoic relative to adipose tissue. It's 9mm and in the anterior region of the right breast at 12 0'clock position. I had a hysterectomy at age 25. My mother had ovarian cancer at age 26. I also have been tested for the "cancer gene" and do have it. I am 33 years old with 4 children. Have had a 15 pound weight loss this month (135 down to 120). I have had vague symptoms of cancer for 3 years now and have been treated for fibromyalgia and chronic fatigue syndrome for years. Can all of these things still add up to be nothing? HELP!!!!!

Diagonosdt with Melanoma, this person gets Procrit shots once a week along with B-12. Diet and the use of V8 juice, along with Beets and Spinach, have raised the Blood Count, to 10 and going up every week. Now the person does not have such a great apaitite, and does'nt seem to be hungry, when dinner is set. This problem has been noticed awhile back ,but has seemed to be getting worse. I know these Shots are Powerful, and could surpress the apatite. Anything I could do to help this person along with Meals, or maybe a more complex Diet or Input on some other helpful ideas. Thank So Much.
