If you mean leukemia, there are quite a few drugs effective in certain types and bone marrow transplants. Childhood leukemia that was fatal now has some cures.

It depends on various factors like age & immunity of the patient, stage of maignancy, heredity etc. If detected at an early stage, maximum chances are that it is curable. But sorry, if detected at terminal stage, it is a golden opportunity for Oncologists - who make money by keeping the patient alive on life-saving devices. I have seen many cancer patients of terminal stage, whose family members have been befooled by so-called super-speciality cancer hospitals. Na paisa raha na marij. So just pray to God.

There are many criteria for prognosis.. So it depends first of all which sub type of cell cancer u have n for how long n which stage it is. N ofcourse the age of onset.
