I just started making paper roses. I print the patterns out on computer paper, then cut, & glue them together. They are very realistic. I would like to find a way to make them shine, so they would look more like porcelain. I tried a glue & water mix, but it just makes the ink run. I don't really have any money to spend, so I'm hoping that there is a recipe for a glaze that I can make out of everyday household products. Thanks.

I am getting ready to finish my basement and will be designing an area with backdrops, etc. so that I can take pictures of my son. I have a decent camera for a point and shoot (Canon A630)...and am hoping to start taking some portrait shots of my 1 year old. Since the basement has little to no natural light, I am wondering what type of lighting I should install in order to get quality photos. Do I need to invest in lighting specifically geared towards photography or can I re-create that type of lighting by finishing out the area with a certain type of light? I don't know much about the different types of photography lighting available, but I can use some of the advanced options on my camera. I am definitely still an amatuer in photography, but I am hoping to improve. Any advice or tips would be greatly appreciated!

I have a 44" doll porcelain head, shoulders, stuffed body, porcelain lower arms and lower leg. She fell over, on hrdwood floor. Apparently stand was too small to support her weight. Clean break completely across back of shoulder, separating front shoulder with head from back shoulder blades. Would like to reglue, and of course super glue doesn't bond to this porous material. Designer numbered doll. Any suggestions? And if know where I can find a taller, sturdier stand as I have no carpeting for a soft landing, should this happen again.

I would love to hear your story.I have made several and gave them as gifts. The ones I make are easy, just cut out squares (mine are 5'') serge up three sides, stuff lightly, serge the end.Make these from any fabric you like.I used up a lot of scraps I accumulated over time. Then sew the "pillows" together to make one long strip, then make another strip, and sew the strips together until you get the size quilt you want.I don't use stretch fabrics tho, doesn't work too well but most any other fabric works ok.They are lightweight and warm. All my friends say they are beautiful.Soooo tell me your story and any other ideas you may have.I also made a handbag from these little pillows, turned out real nice, something different.I haven't seen one in a store anywhere. You can find a pic of my first quilt on my 360 page....Thanks a bunch

I have a glass vase I am trying to use as a craft project, but I want to put a couple of holes in it without causing it to crack. I'm sure there is probably a tool that can be used for this but I don't know for sure.

You know that machine that puts tiny jewels on fabric, purses and stuff? And you know all those commercials from that lady named Tana? Well, I wanted to buy one of them , but I don't trust those kinds of ads. I have searched on ebay, amazon, and google, but I couldn't find anything. Does anyone know where I could purchase a BeJeweled Machine for a low price?

The block candle will be the size of a half gallon milk box, I plan to set the wine glass inside and use five wicks, one inside the wine glass that will have white wax inside and four outside the wine glass which will be red wax. The purpose is that he burn the outside ones first to read the message i love you on the wine glass.
