One thing we always use them for is to take salad dressing to work....a regular size pill bottle holds just the right amount of dressing for the average salad. Sewing notions such as needles, straight pins, safety pins, buttons, hooks-and-eyes, and snaps fit perfectly. Fill some with water and dish soap for blowing bubbles. They also make excellent salt and pepper shakers for brown bag lunches....just heat a large needle to melt holes in the lids. You can also decant herbs and spices from larger containers into the pill bottles to be kept close to the stove without the heat harming the the mother bottles. In the garage, small nails, screws and such can be kept organized. In the home office, store tacks, paper clips, etc. One craft I can think of is a Christmas craft....lay bottles on their sides and glue together along sides into a large triangle/tree shape. Put tiny tree lights in each open end and place on a mantle or sideboard with the closed end facing out. Alternatively, fill each bottle of the tree with little candies and trinkets and glue a decorative paper circle over each open end and you have a reusable Advent calendar.

I use them to keep beads, or other craft items in. The original packaging of most of the craft things come in isn't really good for storage, so the little pill bottles are great. Some pharmacies will also take them back. Ask your pharmacy about recycling pill bottles.... even if for yourself. Its a shame so many of them end up in landfills.

They may give them to you. But, I did a project with my kids using empty pill jars, and I just saved mine or asked if people could donate. People always have pill bottles lying around. Best of luck with your business!

This isn't something that you can use as storage; but we had a surprise 50th birthday party for my best friend. We washed out the empty pill bottles and when dried, we filled them with mini M&M's. We typed out "special instructions" (use whatever your theme is) and taped them around each bottle. These were used as favors for all the guests.

The knitting store where I go has a basket for medicine bottles that have the labels removed. People can take them and use them for stitch markers and other knitting or crochet accessories.

I use mine for left over paint colors that I have mixed up and sometimes use them for storing beads and small findings. I guess you could paint and decorate them, then glue them together and use them for pencil and pen holders or flower vases....I don't know just a thought.

I was going to say beads too. Alternatively, they'd be excellent for storing eyelets and small brads. What about glitter?
