I want to construct a golf net in my backyard. Please tell me what type of wood/metal I should use, the dimensions, and how to put it together.

Please don't say go out and buy one because I've already done that, I'm just making this one for kind of a project.

Hey everyone! I'm making a calendar for my friends for Christmas, and I'll probably spiral bind it when it's finished, but I was wondering if anyone knew what type of paper to buy for this project. I'll be using both sides of the pages, and I'd like something that looks nice and professional. Thanks!

Tell me what you collect? Are you in a online club with people that collect the same item?

What I need is a sillhouette/outline of a very simple snow angel, or other basic, "front facing" (i.e., not a side view) angel.

I'm having a lot of trouble learning the purl stitch but want to make some things using only the knit stitch. I found a site w/knit stitch-only patterns but unfortunately didn't bookmark it. If anyone knows which site this was, please let me know.

I have recently rediscovered knitting and have come to the conclusion that it is like cooking: you need to start with good ingredients (and, in my case, keep it simple). I am trying to find an online source of quality wool yarn at manufacturer's or outlet prices (I did try google searches keep getting the same sites). I am also open to other solutions. Thanks.

I used to love these when I was a kid. Then I found one a couple of years ago in the old stationery box at work and have been using it ever since. The end bit's got loose and keeps coming off, and I want a new one.

Does anyone know whether these are sold any more? If so, are they are widely available? Could I get one if I go to a large-ish stationery shop, or would I have to order one?

I've done a UK internet search and it's come up with some wholesale ones for teachers/schools, but I only want one, I don't want to have to buy 50. Nor do I want to have to send away to the States or anything - I mean it's not THAT important to me!

Any help much appreciated. I don't fancy trawling round the shops on the off-chance, not at this time of year.

Consists of 12 blocks of historic homes. Was shown on HGTV - " Simply Quilts"and is now discontinued. Was probably in the form of a book rather than just a pattern packet. Does anyone have this?

Check the phone book and see if there's one of those places where you paint your own ceramics? I want to get someone a gift certificate there for Christmas, and haven't been able to find anything on the Internet.

I live in a tiny little town with my mother and grandmother and have recently made some pretty final decions to move to either Atlanta or Washington, DC but because of my circumstances I won't be able to go untill sometime early next year, so I have 2-3 months to wait.

I'm not sure what an IRC is. I know they are to be sent in the place of an SASE, but how do you ACTUALLY use them? Do you need postage?
