I'm looking for an inexpensive embroidery machine, I've never done it before so I don't want to spend a ton of money just in case I don't like it. Does anyone know of any place I could find one that's in good shape, but used?

I am just beginning...my first cast-on and everything. Is it better to start with lighter colors of knit opposed to darker colors so it is easier to see the stiches?

I'm looking for a web site that has a page with lots and lots of reader tips for how to organize crafts and craft rooms. Not really articles, more individuals tips.

I can't find any knitting classes in the area, but I also don't want to spend money on supplies and a how-to book if it is hard to teach myself.
I have nooooo knitting experience.

I want to be more of an interesting person...drinking beer with friends isn't "exactly" a hobby. I was thinking of taking a night course this fall, but any ideas you have are appreciated. Thanks!

I am talking about the ribbons that you get if you place at a local fair. They measure 8 inches long by 2 inches wide. Usually made with a satiny, shiny material. Come in a variety of colors, with words on it, as to what place you won. For instance, blue is first place, red is second, and white is third. Any suggestions as what to do with them? I usually give them back to be reused, but wanted to use them for some type of craft.

Idon't want to store it in a way that displays it. I want a functional way that looks good. I would like something like an old ammunition box, but that's too small ... I would also like for it to have space on top to put a lamp/drinks. Any ideas?

I have seen that they are releasing 4 puzzles (it looks like the first 3 are now out) which supposedly contain information related to the mysteries of the show. #1 is "The Hatch," #2 is "The Others," #3 is "The Numbers," and #4 is "Before the crash. You can see and advertisement here: http://www.tdcgames.com/lostpuzzles.htm...

I am NOT looking for the information contained in these puzzles.

My family and I are jigsaw puzzle fans, and we love the show-- so this seems like a nice mixture of two of our hobbies. However, I want to make sure that thes puzzles are fun and worthwhile. Are they challenging? Is new information actually revealed, or does it simply recap what we already know. At $16 each I would like to know if they are worth purchasing or not. I would get them if they are fun and reveal new information, but it seems that they could also easily be a rip-off.

I am really looking into buying an R/C , but am not sure whether to get an airplane or a helicopter. I already have a Jeep that was fun when I was younger, but is too easy now. I have never flown an R/C airplane or helicopter. I am 13, going on 14. I am in gifted classes and on my school's Academic Bowl team. I do not want to spend more than 100 dollars for an R/C, unless that is 100% unbreakable. I want a challenge, something that I'll have to spend time perfecting my flying capabilities, not something where I can just pick up the controller and do stunts with it. Any info on good s would be appreciated!

I always thought a right handed shooter would holster his pistol on his right side like in cowboy movies, but I recently noticed an elderly security guard, who is right-handed, holstering his gun on his left side backwards (with the handle positioned so he can reach it with his right hand). I mentioned this to a friend of mine who argued that its the proper way to holster a gun for a right hander. Is this so?
