I am talking about the ribbons that you get if you place at a local fair. They measure 8 inches long by 2 inches wide. Usually made with a satiny, shiny material. Come in a variety of colors, with words on it, as to what place you won. For instance, blue is first place, red is second, and white is third. Any suggestions as what to do with them? I usually give them back to be reused, but wanted to use them for some type of craft.

Lay out a piece of paper backed fusible web on an ironing board.
lay out the ribbons on the webbing. Iron them down, this applyies 'glue' to the back of each.
Cut them apart.
Peel off the paper and lay out six of them side by side on a piece of cheap muslin. Weave others like a basket through the ones going down..Pin them to keep them still.
When you finish the basket weave pattern, iron them all down and you have a sweet basket weave satin pillow top. Sew a back to your ribbon piece and stuff.
Put some aside for scrapbooking.
Scan a full page of them on a flat bed scanner and use them as background for photo pages, and give them back as you always have.

You could hang them on a wall in a collage if you have enough. Or you could frame them and hang them up. I don't know of a craft using prize ribbons, so sorry this isn't much help.

It would be neat to use them for scrapbooking or on a stamped greeting card. YOu could line them up around a lamp shade. I have never done that but maybe it will reflect cool colors around the room at night.

I would use them for photo linings in scrapbooking. Or to put around the frames of photos.

Send em to me, I'll put them in my scrabook.

You can also put them on a picture from your childhood or a school picture. Or a Sports picture from childhood?

Hang them up on the wall. They take up extra space. Or, since there are letters on them, You could cut them up and use them in a collage or something.

U COULD PUT IT ON A BASKET AND PUT SILK FLOWERS IN THE BASKET, OR ATTACH IT TO THE CORNER OF YOUR MIRROR ON YOUR DRESSER OR THE WALL.
