I recently went to Atlantic City and stayed at the Econo Lodge for $40/night. We took a bus from New York City to Bally's and Bally's reimbursed us $22 off our bus fare. There are also discount buffets, mc donalds, pizza shops, chinese food, and dellis that allow affordable eating.
I have never been to foxwoods, so I don't know what is there or how to structure a trip. I can get an inexpensive bus from NYC I know that, but as far as eating and sleeping, I don't know how to do that on a budget. I don't have a car.
With a car, I know I can always stay on the CA/NV state line for $20/night and a 3 star hotel, so I know there are similar secrets to the vegas area.
If anyone can let me know any tips or tricks to living 'lightly' while in CT at foxwoods or Mohegan Sun let me know.
Thanks!
