Yes, I do.

The husband of a woman I know. He gambled for years. Would go to Kansas City about every weekend to gamble on the river boats.

He ended up being found shot dead in his van one weekend when he didn't come home. We never knew whether he was shot because he was in so deep, or whether he was in so deep he shot himself.

Gambling is like any other addiction...do it enough, it will destroy you, your family, and ultimately, your life. There is help out there for any addiction, if one really wants to kick it. But usually, you have to pretty much hit rock bottom before you want help. Many times, by then, you've already lost everything you love and have to start over. Some people aren't strong enough to start over, so they take the easy way out. Some people's addictions kill them. Some people wise up and get help and save themselves before it's too late.

For most people, if they can't gamble a bit and lose what they planned on losing or walk away when they're winning, they're addicted. They need to not gamble at all.

If the gambler is a friend, it's time to maybe have an intervention with family &/or friends. If it's you and you think you have a problem, you probably do. Get help now.

Yea. He eventually got better at poker as well as that of his addiction. He makes sure to pay his bills first now before putting it on poker. He hasnt done anything totally crazy though so im thankful for that. Right now its at the point where he just rather spend his extra money on poker, which is fine by me, I mean, its his money right so do what makes you happy.

I do! My aunt has a gambling addiction, she moved to las vegas and spends her entire social security check in the casino. My uncle has to hide money so he can pay bills and such. It's sad really
